I say **** the both of them. You're a professional boxer, standing to make a huge payday. This is "YOUR SHOT." Real boxers adapt to the circumstances, and still rise to the occasion. We've seen boxers proceed with fights when boxers have weighed over the limit before. Canelo didn't even demand a next day weigh-in, AND let the guy keep the 20k purse deduction! That's when I really started respecting Canelo, and became a fan of him.

    "Dan Rafael ‏@danrafaelespn

Being told Broner-Escobedo is going to happen. Details to come."

    This is ridiculous.

  9. No pressure on broner opponent. If he loses then there's a lot more potential income lost down the track. Let broner take all the **** that's about to ensure right on his head

Esco was just playing the hand that came about based on Broner's inability to come in at the contracted weight. Walking away ensured a hefty counter offer which out a lot of money in his pocket.....walking away was a smart business move....and overall....Esco is in a win/win situation....even if he loses....he lost to a welter weight and makes a career high pay day...if he wins.....he becomes an overnight sensation.

I expect Broner to win and win in spectacular fashion as he is coming into the fight with all the advantages.....albiet "unfair" advantages thanks to not having to make weight...if he doesn't look good against Esco......it could mean another boxing prospect who fails to meet expectations. It would be a shame if he ended up like so many other "hyped" fighters who end up the topic of discussion about..."whatever happened to.......?"
