Sky WILL have : Chad Dawson vs. Adonis Stevenson to build up Tony!

  2. There is a lot of international boxing over the summer

June 8th looks a cracking weekend

Then you have David price,Matthew macklin and Darren barker in the biggest fights of their lives

Considering the summer is normally barren for Britain apart from super fights it ain't bad at all
Also a lot of good small hall shows there are at least 4 of good standard this weekend alone
I think we have been spoiled recently, the schedule in boxing is always very good

  3. I don't understand either

The amateur season makes sense as some people compete almost weekly but pros I don't get

The season seems less defined today. June's normally a bit livelier for tv dates - certainly in recent years.

    having a season is pointless

they pretty much take mid dec until end of jan / feb as it is aswell as the summer break take the break if they need it then

just another way boxing does itself no favours

  6. I know this thread is about sky so I'm going off track but we really are spoiled just had a look at the next 3 weekends action In Abroad and just some interesting fights are

    Huck afolabi
    Maidana Lopez
    Lara angulo
    Dawson Stevenson
    M Garcia juanma Lopez
    Gambia Perez

And that really is the tip of the iceberg, there is a stack of good fighters out on a load of bills
We also have some mega fights coming up with pacquiao,Marquez and floyd?in action

    Boxings in great health

Macklin v Golovkin still doesn't have UK TV.

Ryder v BJS was gonna be June 22nd.

Isn't it summat do with when they used to have boxing at fairgrounds in the booths as a way to make more money? Could be wrong but I'm sure I read it somewhere.

The undercard for Dawson v Stevenson is fairly good so it's a decent card to stay up for so I hope sky pick it up.

People go out more in the Summer. The Autumn and Winter attracts more TV ratings, and those who do go out, would look for more indoor activities. Also as mentioned, there is a tradition of boxers making money at the booths in the Summer, although obviously this is less related in this era.

Hope Boxnation pick some of these fights up. I think it normally tends to be last minute due to costs. Hopefully they will be negotiating for some of them.
