    ...and that's the way most judges see it.

    You land a clean enough shot to deck a guy and it trumps almost anything else that happens in that round.

    The logic behind it is that the fighter scoring the knockdown is rewarded for his offensive play while the guy on his arse is penalised for his defensive lapse.

    It's no good going allout to dominate if you're going to leave yourself open to countershots....as we saw with Kickett.
