Mike Tyson was old too. Both were way past it.

Vitali was in full training that's why he took the fight. BOTH took it at short notice.

Lewis didn't even look like he trained properly.

mate, tysons best attribute was his power. Power is last thing to go. So in his case, age didn't matter cos he still had his power.

Lewis retired to avoid Vitali again. FACT!

    Tyson was SHOT by Lewis.

There's no comparison between a 5-10 swarmer and 6-5 boxer with an 84-inch reach and ATG jab. Tyson also had about as many fights pre-prison as Lewis did over his entire career.

tyson pre prison was wild and unrefined. go watch the fights on espn classic. post prison he was a much more mature fighter. the version lennox beat was probably close to prime physically, and mentally better than 80's tyson

Well, he hasn't lost a fight yet. He was miles ahead of Byrd before he had to save his shoulder. And Lewis only cut him up. No rematch was a complete disgrace from Lennox.

    It really should be 47-0

With his competition and dominance, I can safely have him top 5. No way does he lose to Frazier like Ali did which was embarrassing.

Oh my god. Tyson's main attribute was his SPEED aswell as power and that had well gone. These klit fans are so deluded.

Lewis retired because he had planned to retire when he had beaten everyone in his era. And the last one of those was Tyson. FACT

Klitschko wasn't even a big name and no one cared at the time.

Can we really judge how good he is realistically because he has not faced and beaten anyone that would even be in the top 100 imo.

H2H he probably is. Too bad there are no ATG's around besides Wlad that he could beat to a pulp to cement that GOAT claim. Vitali's resume leaves much to be desired due to the 4 year layoff, rivals constantly ducking him throughout the years, and the abscence of really outstanding HW´s besides the Klits. The only way Vitali could be considered THE greatest HW of all time, would be if he keeps on fighting and beating top contenders at least 3 times per year for at least a decade more, then even the brittards would need to bow to him for the pure domination alone.

Lewis was getting the upperhand in the 5th and 6th, and the reason he cut him up was because he landed a right cross that landed on Vitalis face. His upper eyelid covered his field of vision, which meant the doctor had no choice but the stop the fight.

This is boxing. You win not just by KO, but also TKO too.

It wasn't even a headbutt type of cut. It was a legitimate right cross that ripped Vitalis face up. And Vitali lost on cuts just like Cooper lost to the greatest of them all Ali. Just like Vitali lost to the greater boxer.

It wasn't even controversial looking at Vitalis face. The doctor prolonged Vitalis career.

mate, i've studied the sport since i was seven. i'm 10-0-0 as an amateur and have watched espn classic since it came on air. ive seen all of Tysons fights and most of Ali's.

I also know a lot about the history of the sport unlike some. Anyone can see the fighters in the olden days were absolute shite. Look at their stances FFS! The lead hand was held at the hips! :patsch:rofl. These guys would've eaten a right hand from round one and gone down to modern day fighters.
