Punch resistance does not improve with age or experience.Ward is simply a better all rounder than he was when he fought Boone, and hasn't been caught with similar punches since. He was on ***** street twice against Boone,he nearly touched down in the first, and was on his face in another round (3 or 4).The point i'm making is he's not invincible,if that chin gets found by a decent puncher, this train might get derailed.Araham never caught him flush, and besides, who has he KO'd at 168 ? i'll tell you,a washed up version of Taylor,a blown up Middleweight.

My hero ? who would that be ? have a trawl through my posts, show me where i make reference to being a Calzaghe nuthugger. :hi:

If Froch wins people will say the same about ward being overhyped. Seems to many people willing to forgive their own fighters of things they blast other fighters for. Calzaghe ad Ward are prime examples, calzaghe beats kessler and calaghe fans praise it while haters say kessler was always a plodding robot, ward beats kessler and his fans praise it while haters say he was never that good.
Calzaghe and Ward are very alike and if you defend one you are defending the other wether u realise it or not. Both fought at home a lot, both undefeated, both adapt well and both not the most pleasant to watch.

Ive been of ESB for a few days now but I think this win cant be over rated

he won to expectation wide UD did not struggle much outside getting clocked big a few times but he stayed up

he won to everybodys prefight expectations so over hyping him is dumb

had he flat out KO'd him and won in exciting fashion I would be excited but he did his usual and won a wide decision in his usual fashion

Arthur Abraham can hit and I understand after clobbering Taylor was held high as a new favorite by many who said his power would carry him to glory

then they said after Dirrel that he was gonna KO him Dirrel faked we got robbed of an Abraham KO

going into Froch many said KO for Abraham from what I remember

I'm not gonna call it easy but Abraham is figured out

he covers up the whole round til his opening then bombs away

I think several fighters exposed that he is beatable Eastman gave him a tough time, Gevor was ahead, Taylor did very well and Froch dominated him

If you jab on the outside give him movement and stay disciplined and keep an eye out for his bursts of aggression you can win many rounds on activity

Ward is one of the top three p4p fighters in the world. People that don't have him there now will admit it in a year or two.

I think Ward is firmly in the top 10 pfp but I don't think I'd go as high as #3. If he were to beat Froch and then Bute(if Bute beats someone like Kessler or Pavlik later this year), which isn't a given, then Ward would be in the top 5 but I wouldn't go quite that high yet.

Ive never seen such hype about a guy than with ward, its almost unreal. Its almost as if people have latched onto him and are willing him to fulfill what they want from him.
