Opinions of this, Hearn says Dillian is levels above do you agree? I dont think so i actually think Kabayel could beat Whyte. Whyte went life and death with Chisora twice and Kabayel absolutely schooled Del. I think Kabayel is really underrated and think he can mix it with the best of the rest at world level definitely a top 15 guy maybe even a top 10 for me. very underrated skill wise he is a very good boxer.
Dillian is a better fighter than Kabayel yes. Kabayel did beat Del but let's be honest, Del looked like he couldn't be arsed being there that night. The versions that Whyte came up against were far more motivated and in shape.
Hearn should ask Joshua for his opinion. Joshua has used Kabayel for sparring for two camps now so I’m sure he rates his ability. It’s just another ridiculous comment from Hearn to big up his own investment. Don’t take it seriously. If Kabayel was to somehow KO Fury, Hearn would be on his knees begging Kabayel to sign with him and bigging him up as the next best thing in boxing.
Whyte has always been a pudding and his last fight meant that he was exposed as a pudding. British level fighter with world class Eh Day Earn sales pitch.
I don't know. Whyte is more proven but against common opponent Chisora, Kabayel did better. I'd rank Whyte a little bit higher right now but he's coming off a bad loss to an old man so he needs a win to prove he deserves his current ranking.
Nope, no way is Whyte "levels" above Kabayel, is he better? Not sure. Of course he has a better resume but as the old saying goes "you're only as good as your last fight".
I honestly think whyte is damaged goods since the Povetkin knockout. Povetkin out of the fight might actually be a blessing
Chisora looks good in against crude sluggers and struggles with boxers. Hence he had a couple of pickems against Whyteleafe - albeit the second ended conclusively but the matchroom judging played a huge part in that fight let’s not forget - and lost widely and clearly to kabayel. same way someone like VLAD doesn’t land a glove on fury then comes out of retirement two years later to take Joshua life and death. Styles make fights. A crude bomber like Whyteleafe would struggle BADLY against kabayel
Kabayel is no Baklava, Whyte was turned into a pineapple upside down cake by a Cruiser in his 40s. Sorry @Jurgen, I couldn't resist!
I don't think they are that far apart tbh.. Whyte gets plently of home town cooking so he prob should be a few losses back...
Harder puncher & better resume = Whyte no doubt. However, there is nothing to suggest Whyte is levels above him. We would need to see Agit in with Parker/Povetkin etc to see how he would do. Also, sadly I actually think Dillian is likely to be damaged goods after that last KO & my money was going to be on Povetkin to bang him out again.
I think I saw an interview with Hearn about this and the point he was making was that everyone would rather see Whyte against Fury. Than they would see Kabayel against Fury. I think casuals and hardcores alike would be much more excited about the Whyte vs Fury than the Kabayel vs Fury fight. It is a completely different question who you think is the better HW. I would class them around the same level. Whyte isnt levels above in terms of ability or skill but he is in terms of brand name and notoriety.
