Wilder says his next 2 FIGHTS will be against Joshua :

“Everybody know about the Joshua situation. That is serious. That’s real. That is one that’s up next. We’re looking forward to that, I’ll be getting in camp real soon. I’ll be promoting it within the next few months or so. Finally get that showdown on.

I think it’s gonna be a great, great fight between me and him. I’m actually working on a 2 fight deal with me and Joshua, one up in Saudi Arabia and the other one up in the Motherland, Africa.”

Ever since Eddie Hearn promised Fury vs Joshua in the week of Christmas 2020 that the fight would be made tmrw, I never trusted a word Hearn said again. That comment aged like milk as the last time I'd check, there was never a Fury vs Joshua fight ever. I think Hearn will give fake promises again for the Wilder vs Joshua fight.

Too much smoke to not happen. Both fighters seem to want it.

Boxing has never before seen more smoke and less fire than right now.

I wish these two would just fight and get it done for the fans. It’s a solid matchup.

Fight makes no sense for either man. Joshua can make more money with Fury, and Wilder could get another crack at the title.

It makes perfect sense for Wilder. The WBC just cancelled his title eliminator vs Ruiz so he'll need a significant win to become a mandatory for one of Uysk's belts. Not to mention it's the biggest money fight available to him. Joshua might be better served rebuilding his confidence against lower level opponents but with how badly he performed against Helenius there is a very real risk that he might get upset by a journeyman so cashing out vs Wilder might not be a bad decision.

Over a week ago, Hearn said he would give this Saudi thing another 2-3 weeks to get finalized and if it wasn't he would look for another fight for Joshua. That deadline is now 1-2 weeks and counting.

Hahah, Eddie gives the Saudis after complaining he and AJ were given deadlines - what a big man! But on the other hand, those guys are screwing the sport, so it's best if they are removed from the picture.

Joshua did say something along the lines that he needs to fight two more times.

Not a chance. Both are hesitant to fight each other.

I think it’ll happen, Joshua loses again he’s done. So why not make one last huge payday and watch Eddie Hearn bite his fingernails the whole fight praying Wilder misses.

IMO the fight is agreed for some time now, might even be signed.

They are just waiting for the Saudis to shape up the event and set the date.

I'm starting to think this fight won't happen next. It was reported as a "done deal" 4-5 months ago and still no announcement, much less a date and venue. Last I saw from Finkel was that he is "optimistic", but of course that means nothing.

Wilder has botched this year waiting on the Saudis. At least Joshua has been active.
