    I've never heard anything more delusional. Just listen from 2:23 onwards :jump::jump::jump:

    Sure, nobody wants to lose and plenty make excuses for their losses, but I can't think of anyone in history reacting quite the way Wilder has

    • Costume too heavy
    • Spiked water
    • Loaded gloves
    • Long count
    • Gypsy magic
    ... just some of the excuses Wilder has made

    I know the fights are old news at this point and Fury isn't exactly a fan favourite anymore, but Wilder's delusions truly baffle me.

    A good trivia question is what's the biggest number of our these ?

    (a) The number of excuses Windmill has come up with
    (b) The number of times Fury has said the word dosser
    (c) A googleplex

    It's certainly a close one.

    I'm usually pretty forgiving of fighters when they make excuses, it's simply a coping mechanism for fighters to be able to get back in the ring where their lives are on the line. But Wilder's plethora of totally bizarre and unfounded excuses takes the cake, its sheer nonsense to the point of absurdity and yet his hardcore fans really seem to believe these excuses.

    The frustrating thing for me as a Wilder fan is he doesn't need to do that. He earned the boxing public's respect in Fury III -- he has nothing to be ashamed of -- but he just won't come to terms with it.

    He's close, I think he really may have some of the worst excuses ever. I genuinely will root for anyone at HW against him, whether they're American or not (except Otto Wallin, I really don't like him either)

    He's dumb as a rock.

    1st fight he got a gift draw against a drained Fury who boxed him up and made him miss. 2nd fight destroyed by titan Fury

    Then for the 3rd fight Fury literally spent camp on the hospital floor, 3 weeks training. Came in heavy with no muscle mass. Elbows shot to pieces couldn't use his jab. Walked head first into the biggest puncher ever and still came out on top. Fury didn't win that fight with skill, training, conditioning he won it on an iron will and shear determination.

    You give Tyson Fury an impossible task or a boogeyman he will get the job done. Tyson Fury is the heart of boxing. The soul of life. Wilder relies too heavily on his gift of power that was granted by the devil himself.

    Yes, probably the all-time number one.

    Sadly, he'll be overtaken soon. This is the generation of the excuse not because boxers haven't always made them but because some fool is always waving a microphone at them and letting them talk with no resistance. In the forties you could make one excuse on fight night tv if you were extremely unlucky, one in the dressing room with whatever press want to come back and hear it, then once when you retire. Now you can make your excuses, hear people tell you that you are right, build the truth every day for the rest of your life. Wilder is absolutely disastrous in this market generally but the excuse-making is hilarious.

    Still probably would like to see him whup AJ though :lol:
