Funny avatar box101. I had forgotten about Bojado, a true underachiever.

Yes. Winky was a class fighter, and had some real skills. Had some bad decisions against him to.

No, Wright was competitive but by no means was that a close fight. I also thought he won the Taylor fight but not as clearly and as wide as Hopkins beat Wright. I thought Wright beat Vargas by a good margin. I haven't scored these fights but I'm sure my opinion wouldn't change much.

Yes Hopkins clearly beat him. Not a close fight.....

YES, I think he beat Hopkins and Taylor too (Hopkins in particular he massively outworked and outlanded...unwatchable fight though - not WInkys fault)

Sure. One of the very best in the world for a number of years. One of the best ever at 154.

Like it or not he's def getting in. Shame though, his career could have been THAT much better had his ego not gotten in the way.

Bit of a myth imo...when Winky started pricing himself out of fights (post Taylor), he was already on the seniors tour, closer to 40 than 30, and just fighting 'names'...his best work was in the past

More than likely. Not first ballot like some of his contemporaries.

He's a great textbook boxer, but I'm not sure outside of his wins against Mosley. What he has done. If I want to teach someone how to box Wright is in the top 10 of boxers that I'd show someone as an aid.
He seemes to have an overinflated opinion of himself and his worth and recall him turning down fights that while not glamours would have put him in poistion for those glamours fights.
HOF worthy? Maybe but not first ballot.
