I can't argue with that because it isn't a ridiculously low number like some posters here would claim. For instance I have Lewis in at #3 after Louis & Ali but I could understand someone ranking him at #8 or #9 behind Forman, etc.

hey that sound more specific, so rank him, give your thoughts on him. also be nice to provide this long list before him in no particular order. we will sort them out, no worries.. :hi::good

So long as you're being civil................:yep

That's a fine post. I also believe there was some good talent in the 80's but very few lived up to their potential. Bowe syndrome, he was the 90's underachiever for instance. Golota too.

I think Wladimir can crack the top 10 if he can hold the belts he has & unify with the WBC after Vitali retires.

Call me crazy but IMO Wladimir already has the WBA since he beat the guy that beat Valuev & Ruiz. Now if Haye wins vs. Valuev that would mean Wlad would need to get that belt too.

Unification is incredibly hard in this era because of the sheer number of belts, super champions, etc. For Wlad to unify in the current division would do wonders for his legacy. That and successfully defending them for a couple more years against top contenders.
Depending on how dominant those wins are I could certainly see him cracking the top 10.

That would true if you were ranking the Heavyweights HEAD TO HEAD. Lewis, Ali, Louis, Vitali, Forman, Tyson, & Wladimir would all be very high on any such list.

This list was meant to be based on accomplishments/legacy. I least I thought so.

true but any fight could be over in one round (though yeah, with those two it's almost likely) while i think that lewis (due to size) has the better shot head to head i'd still give ali a much better than 50% chance to outpoint wlad

True, based on thier ring achievements. I rank Louis higher than Ali but most argue that Ali faced the better competition, and I can't argue with that fact.

You have to rank Tyson in the top 10 because he was the youngest HW champion ever and the way he won was usually quite spectacular. Just as Forman ranks in the top 10 for his 2 careers....................both very successful.

:bart I can't agree that Schmeling is higher all time than Wladimir, sorry, no way.

A great win over Louis it was, but he lost both rematches, most would call that a fluke. Similar to Brewster's win over Wladimir.

I beg to differ. Especially when considering head to head rather than legacy.
