Time will tell whether he's an ATG (I think he is, but isn't that a subjective matter anyway?). Either way you cannot judge Klitschko or any other fighter on just one performance (like judging Golota based on his fight with Tyson or Brewster). That, is what casual (ie ignorrant) 'boxing fans' do.

who's "marry poppin's"? if you mean bernard hopkins, nah i don't think so, but i'm sure wlad would love to have him as his next mandatory. don't get me wrong i like wlad, he's a very good hw, but if thompson can trouble wlad a bit for a portion of the fight with little power and average skill, bad footwork, and average speed, IMO the golota of the bowe fights would have beaten wlad.

I do have to say, my favorite polish boxer is Super G, and he's a gazillion times the boxer Golota was.

He couldn't beat Bowe so he'd just steamroll over the best HW of this generation right? Nice try...............

you're not helping your argument (whatever that is) by that statement.

and regardless the official outcome, if you don't think golota beat bowe than there obviously no point in discussing. btw, bowe would walk through this "generation"

Like Jazzo told, "Calm down, JETSKI"...

OK, I'm calm now. And its good to see that many here agree with my points. And fact remains, that this guy WK should NOT even be mentioned in the same sentence with the term "ATG". He's fought NOBODIES" since the golfer **** him up royally. If only there was some HW talent out there to challenge him, he'd be gone along time ago or we would see some major ducking going on from Camp Klitschko.:deal

Again, to the majority of Klit lovers, who seem to be of Russian heritage by the looks of your screen names, you stupid *******s can just keep sucking on wlads big ****...you make me ****ing sick. Jealously that Golota has screwed up in the past & never won a HW title has nothing to do with it.

WK sucks, anyone that says he's great is a fool & I'm ****in out of here!

I'm gonna go crush some tennis balls right now, just like I'd CRUSH Wlads skull if I was 6'-4", 240 lbs instead of the welterweight that I am.

Glad to see you chime in Rums...its been awhile.:good

I like how peolpe beside Rums & myself said that the Golota of 1996 would **** this guy up.

And I'm sorry to those that felt my initial post was a bit harsh. Thats how I get when I pissed the hell off.

    Later.

This is hilarious. A guy who notoriously roots almost exclusively for Polish fighters, and will always root for a Pollack against anyone else, is bashing people from the Soviet Union for supporting Wlad?

Would you people give it a rest? From what we've seen, Vlad is an improving B-level fighter atop a heap of heavy weights who are C-level at best.

Until the heavyweight division becomes drastically better, Vlad will be a victim of poor competition and we will never really know how he stacks up against A-level fighters like a prime Tyson, Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield etc. His resume simply cannot even begin to touch the level of competition of the aforementioned names and the 90s were not exactly the golden era of boxing.

Right now, through no fault of his own, Vlad cannot be rated as an all time great, but he is the best right now by a long shot. If he keeps on his current course, without the division improving, he will likely be remembered as the greatest fighter in the dark days of heavyweight boxing.

A Golota fan complaining about a guy who wins heavyweight championship fights is like a nun complaining about people's sex life.
