I'm not blaming him. In one post I even said it sucked for him that there is a major lack of talent. But the bottom line is, he does not generate much excitement.

I was hoping for a good fight, and I got a **** show.

We will see lots of excitement when Vlad fights Haye. Haye has the speed, style and power to upset Vlad. If Haye is good enough to puncture Vlad's defense, and if Vlad fights back and stops Haye after being in trouble himself, that performance will change Klitschko's reputation completely.

So, the Haye fight will be Vlad's defining fight, win or lose, and it should be exciting either way.

I think we may see more action from Vlad against Povetkin too. I say this for stylistic reasons.

I wouldn't say that. There are a lot of fans who root for fighters based on nationality. So what?

He still has a point. The opeople who act as Wlad apologists and erroneously claim he's exciting often fit that bill.

To me, the bigger issue is that his fights bore people. One of my roommates bolted for a bar because the fight was so shitty.

I actually enjoyed it for a few rounds. But then it descended into ****.

Talent or no talent, few would be able to handle his power.

Grant opened as a 7:1 favorite in that fight and was widely recognized as the third best heavyweight on the planet when Golota fought him and became the first to expose him.

no and people are dumb to say otherwise

now...if he gets past id say 10-12 titles defenses you have to say he was the next best since lewis. even then that doesnt grant ATG status. top 20-30 all time HW? maybe.

wlad will NEVER REACH top 10.

Albeit he officially lost, he schooled Grant just like he schooled Bowe twice. So you can thank Golota for exposing him.

And if there was more talent, people would be more apt to bring the fight to Wlad, and he has proven to have trouble taking flush shots when tagged. More talented fighters would be able to find the mark on him more often, too.

Win or lose, Golota brings excitement to virtually every fight. Klit is quickly becoming the John Ruiz of the heavyweight division. I use to respect his formidable skill and power, but his timid style, and unwillingness to get dirty even against fighters who have no business being in the same ring as he, is quickly becoming distasteful. Its obvious that guys like Purity, Sanders and Brewster gave him some kind of a phobia and he is protecting his fragile chin at all costs.

I wouldn't go that far. As boring as Wlad is, his fights are tolerable.

Some of Ruiz's fights were literally SO boring as to be unwatchable. Wlad at least throws some solid punches with mean intent, albeit, oftentimes predictably and mechanically.

jeezbus calm down jetski. for **** sake wladimir has two average fights in a row, and you loathe him?

i feel for ya, being such a prideful Pole, but the harsh fact is wladimir is better than golota in a head to head stylistic matchup and also in the history books when all is said and done.

also wladimir's biggest weakness is his mental anxiety and zero desire for inside fighting. and im a big wlad fan. however, while golota doesn't mind inside fighting, his mental state can be compared to that of a fruitcake. he shoulda woulda coulda, but at the end of the day golota was purely a contender who blew all his chances.

i dont want to be harsh but really when you blast a successful fighter while defending a hasbeen contender, it looks pretty sad.

You know what, your right. Why it is not accepted now due to times have changed. Ali and Camacho could not fight today without getting critisized. Fans want to see fights not dancing. It was okay back in the day like watch Paez clowning around, but fans today get annoyed with those styles. The only thing is, Vlad just started doing this **** so is he improving or getting worse? He will eventually get knocked out again with these tactics.
