It is laughable when Bute fans tries to discredit Andre Ward.

They didn't reject it per se. They got asked if Bute's willing to take part and he was, but only after he gave Andrade the rematch. At that point Showtime didn't want to wait for Bute so they didn't invite him officially.

 

Old story Ken Hershman dg of Showtime said officially. that Buté was never invited to the S6.

Ward said one day one thing, the another day:» Yes, I want to meet Buté after the S6... Buté is not worthy to fight me... Buté prefer to choose Froch than me ... this last affirmation. First, he said no and after it was Buté's fault if there was no fight ... it is BS.

 

A top level fighter using worthiness as a reason not to fight another top level fighter is just lame. And excuses like 'I worked so hard during the past 2 years' don't fly either. Froch worked more and he's already back in the game. No excuses. Just like a real man would do.

I think Froch will always be game and no one can take that away from him, but his coming off a loss and has done well to get Bute as i think he needs him. With regards to Ward the fight would only be bigger if Bute comes out with a win and as fans we have a win-win. If bute loses its humble pie time!!

The man is gifted but his assertions about Buté are BS. Saying now that it was Buté's fault if there was no fight, that Buté prefers go to Froch then it's clear that Buté's team approachs Goosen and at this time the words from Goosen was «hand injury, we prefer an easier fight » and Ward said; « not worthy».
Also, his attitude with his mandatories is laughable.« I know Anthony, he is like a brother...»

i agree that ward is very talented and all, but i don't see all this "future p4p #1" hype. there's no doubt he is in the top 10 p4p (i place him around 5-6) but a #1, in MY opinion, would not have been troubled by boone and bika. could have just been one of those days. i'm not saying it can't happen but i just don't see at this moment. i want to see him against a slicker/smarter type of fighter. he and bute both have fought sluggers/brawlers/punchers but no slick fighters. they will face a tough test in fighting each other as it will be new territory. that will be a much better gauge at just how good he is. if he wins it in easy fashion (7 rounds) THEN you can start talking about #1 p4p. i think ward's better defense will tip the fight in his favor but bute definitely has a shot. it depends who has a better gameplan and who can execute it properly. also, unlike froch, i think if bute were to lose, there could actually be a point to a rematch.

 

Ward did not allow Bute to fight in his tournament. Ward was the only boxer in the tournament who never had to travel! Ward was supposed to fight Bute on Showtime after the tournament, but then said no! Showtime is boycotting Bute's fight with Froch, so EPIX is showing it!!! Ward is very angry about that, but can't control EPIX!!! EPIX also shows other Euro fights, such as the Klitschkos while HBO and Showtime boycott their fights. Three cheers for EPIX!!! By the way...........Bute is traveling to Froch's home town to fight him, something Ward would NEVER do!

 

Ward is Sven Ottke,that's why i don't like him.He lost the fight with Boone but the corrupt judges form US gave him the win.then there was the fight with Kessler,an injured Kessler,don't try to sell me that fight like it was legit.his corrupt referee allow him to headbutt freely,a fight that would have ended with DQ anywhere else but jOakland.then you have some meaningless fights which Ward fans sell like FOTY.Green,Abraham and Bika mean nothing,less than Joppy or Mendy.So all Ward has is Froch,again in US.now,before signing to super6 his best fight was with Miranda.He didn't made the super6 fights,they were given to him.of course he signed for super6 when he was invited,he was a no name at that time and nobody would pass that opportunity.but now that he has to make his own fights again what this guy do?Bute isn't worthy,lol,Andre Dirrell is a close friend,Anthony is not worthy and the tv don't want him,Hopkins is my mentor...how about you give me a smaller old guy so i can beat and look good...or a cab driver to fight in my backyard and call it a welcome home fight cause i was 40 miles away in Carlson,California for an "away" fight last year...laughable...this guy is worse than Sven Ottke if i think about it

 

and for the record,Abnes Mares first win over Joseph Agbeko was more legit than Ward's over Kessler,that's how bad the referee was.a disgusting referee job,nothing more,nothing less.and i consider anyone kissing Ward's ass for it an idiot !

 

On the contrary. When the s6 was first proposed Bute was likely #4/5 but because he was signed for a multifight deal with HBO the rival network refused to change the opening for him to free himself of that obligation.

Bute was free just a short time after the s6 began and Interbox started to petition showtime to allow him entry as an alternate. Showtime liked the idea but couldnt guarantee him entry b/c the original language of the contracts stated that in the event a fighter should pull out of the tournament while still in the winning bracket, the remaining fighters would have to agree to the replacement(s).
Now, here's where it's getting either UGLY or genius. Dan G@@53N refused to allow Bute in by refusing to copromote the s6 events with Interbox. And a showtime spokeswoman said that if Bute was granted access, several particpants had threatened to leave the tourney and one had even threatened to sue.

Now, is this a move by DG to build a megafight. Well, it looked like it was when he and his liege had said that naturally a fight with Bute would be best for him and for the fans if eh was to be victor of the s6. When Ward won that fight we all expected that fight to be next without question. Well at least Wards fans did.

Some of us Bute fans were a bit skeptical though since many of our Canadian brothers were on top of the Interbox press meetings and some on other sites even linked to showtimes refusal of Bute into the tourney, but thier huge loss signing him to a megadeal specifically for the tournament.

Now, if DG and Ward make the fight with Bute next or after Magee/Td2 it'll have been a genius $$$$ move......but if Ward moves on to LHW after defending his belt(s) or moves directly there after a BHOP win for that fight......there's just no way a Ward fan can justify his duckery. :deal
