Nice summary @Rumsfeld. We really didn't learn much from this fight but two things popped into my head. First, it's too bad Franklin could not have been in better shape. He wasn't going to win anyway but it would have been nice to see a more fit opponent. Second is something you mentioned. Itauma was very calm and relaxed after he knocked Franklin down in round three. He wasn't hurried and he wasn't going for the quick KO. Very impressive for a fighter so young.

Why is ituama fighting bums still is the only question

About time this man gets chin checked by a proper heavyweight, how about Bakole. This golden window of a passing era with Saudi money is closing...so why ituama is frolicking around like a school child in a playground makes no sense, time to step up laddy!

I have a special dislike for these American bum heavyweights also. I know the situation over there is dire when Wilder was your best hope since Chris Aerolla but can we finally leave the Americans alone till someone decent rises from the ashes of their HW boxing coffin.

Realistically a 21 year old knocking out Franklin for his 14th professional fight is solid and shouldn’t be criticised that heavy. For sure it’s time to start moving up the level of competition but I’m not mad at the pace he’s going at.
