Perfect fight to see if Ituama is for real. If he gets past Franklin easily, next up should be Hrgovic. If he can get past Hrgovic easily, he's ready to challenge for a world title.

I don't think this is going to be easy for him though. This is a cash-out for Franklin, who seems like he's at the end. So, I don't think Frankllin is going to necessarily go in trying to win, but he's going to fight to survive. And a guy with Franklin's durability and decent skillset, just fighting to hear the final bell, is going to be real hard to get out of there.

Hrgovic, if that were to happen, would show up to win. Hrgovic and Franklin are definitely at different points.

Can't see Franklin winning. He'll shell up all fight looking to survive, plus Franklin's offensive tools are pretty weak.

Could see Franklin frustrating Itauma for a few rounds though, and we'll see perhaps whether Itauma has a plan B as Itauma has been frustrated before by not even journeymen fighters but past timers that have lasted the distance - which displayed somewhat of a lack of plan B for Itauma.

Itauma by KO in 1, as usual.

Hopefully Franklin can help us find out a bit more about Itauma because at this stage we really don't know that much.

Franklin might be a walking punching bag in this fight, but he might last until the final bell...

I think you're right on the money @Rumsfeld

Itauma by round 5 in an impressive fashion.

If he did it in 1 round then who on earth do you put him in with next? I'd be seriously impressed

Teremoana is a monster who also doesn't like the second round, heading for a collision with Itauma hopefully.

We'll see who will be next. Probably someone like Wallin or Allen. And whoever next, he will be put into sleep in 1 as well.

    Franklin knows how to survive.

If he comes in his best condition, he should give Itauma some rounds, although he has no chance of winning.

He wasn't in his best shape for his last fight, but luckily was given a robbery decision win over Dychko by the dishonest Las Vegas officials.

He's headlining PPVs now and they seemed hell bent on fast tracking him, but at the same time are trying to be careful matching him (radio silence on Gassiev after he KOd Pulev who they were interested in) so after Franklin probably Hrgovic, Hysa or Adelye in December (unfortunately that's the pace they are setting as well)

Can't see this going very long if Franklin tries to engage , about a 3rd round KO.
