I doubt we will ever see the Witter bout.

Hatton has some crazy cult of personality around him that transcends boxing in Britain. His Man City football fans that know nothing about boxing will follow him whoever he fights and lap it up.

He won't fight Witter because if he loses that he loses the best tag in Britain tag as well as the light welterweight championship simulataneously.

Now that really WOULD hit his earning power. Even he wouldn't be able to dupe his idiot fans in that instance.

Hatton knows there's a good chance Witter will beat him. "But that didn't stop him fighting Floyd" I hear you say.

I feel that Hatton thought Floyd couldn't punch and at worst he'd lose a close fight on points which he could probably make a claim to have won due to pressing the action like the DLH fight. I don't think Hatton had any idea he'd actually get knocked out. But still he can laugh it off saying it was against the P4P number 1 and at a higher weight class.

Should Witter knock out him or even beat him on points he'd become a joke after avoiding him for so long and basically saying "I'm too good to have to fight Witter". There would be no excuses.

    Hatton would easily beat Witter.

I hope he fights him aswell. But I think Mallinaggi would be a tougher opponent, than Witter. But Hatton vs Witter, would be a lot more exciting.

I'm sure Hatton knows something his fans don't. You don't duck some one for so long, from domestic level to elite level, and with a wide variety of excuses if you think you'd win easily.

Precisely. Like Ian Darke said Witter is too good for his own good.If Hatton was to ever loose to him his bubble would burst MASSIVELY and he knows it. Frank knew it, Hatton knows it and all his nut huggers know it.Thats why they keep making a myriad of excuses for the fight not to happen.

This is ****ing boxing and he owes the FANS to fight Witter.

Hatton time & time again uses this 'not giving junior money' ****. If you can not see he is scared of the possibility of losing to Junior you are delusional, opponents have spoke smack to him before and this hasn't stopped him getting in the ring with them.

For once I agree with Scurlaruntings.

If hatton lost to witter - he'd need to leave his home country and the sport for good. Too much of a risk, i think he believes there is a good chance he'll lose.
