Yes he does. But, Arum WORKS FOR Manny Pacquiao. He makes the proposals to Manny...not the other way around. Manny is THE BOSS. He, like most bosses, has people whom he's hired to manage certain aspects of his life. Where his boxing career is concerned, Arum has, essentially, contracted his promotional services to Pac for an agreed upon number of fights. Both are bound by that contract. But, MANNY has the power to influence the decisions Arum makes. It is not a slave contract. Manny does not have to do exactly as Arum says, when it comes to selecting opponents. He, simply, chooses to do so.

 

I thought these cats were supposed to be emmanuel fans? It's very clear in his brand new book that he's a businessman.

Pac should defend that DIAMOND C/W belt, at the weight he EARNED IT AT. Or, since JMM is a natural SFW, campaigning as a LW, they should meet somewhere in between (hmmm...say about 140 - 143), you know just to make it fair, since JMM would be moving up at least 2 whole divisions to face the WW champ.

There's really no fight out there besides Mayweather for manny that will bump up his legacy by much... A marquez fight means just as little as a mosley fight at this point. He already beat him and everybody already knows pacq will win a rematch. Most people won't give him credit at all for beating an old marquez.

what other choices does he have? A green berto who hasn't fought any top fighter ever? A bradley/alexander fight that the public has no idea about?

Every other win for pac will just be a regular win til he fights mayweather.

I really don't understand why people really wanted a Pacquiao-Marquez III. Its a 0-1-1 for Marquez so why bother a trilogy? So if this fight will happen and Marquez won, does that mean we might have a Pacquiao-Marquez IV?

 

Thing is, he is different from any boxer out there. He has the "I can fight any fighter out there. Let the promoter do the promoting and I'll do the fighting" personality.
