Pac-Bradley was. Adamek-Cunningham isn't because it was still a close fight that could be scored in different ways depending on the criteria of judging that judges use. I don't think it really matters anyway. There will be a rematch and the fans will get treated to a great HW matchup again. Even if Cunningham won there would still be a rematch. The 3rd fight will not only be great but also tell who the better man is after a tied series in many people's minds.
Isn't the judging criteria the same everywhere? Effective aggression, Clean effective punching, Ring generalship and defence. Adamek was aggressive but I am not sure if he was effective enough with his aggression in enough rounds to get the win. I point the above out as simply moving forward and being aggressive isn't a reason to score a round in that fighters favour.
if the wrong guy won its robbery not too many ppl making Adamek's case outside the ones youd expect to make his case
How effective was Cunninghams aggression? From what I saw, it was non-existent. How effective was Cunningham's punches? Adamek was never bothered or even fazed. His face was clean. Ring Generalship means running around in circles trying to avoid a punch to the face? I guess USS had good defense in the sense he wasn't knocked down. Didn't do much foir his face and in particular, his eye. What did Adamek look like after? Who did it look like had the better defense?
it can be a close fight where 90% of anyone asked picks one guy over the other and no it may not be considered a robbery but a **** decision
wtf? did you even watch the fight? or did you watch it on an iphone? adameks face was busted up and bleeding atsch
If a guy clearly wins 7 rds, don't get penalized, don't get dropped, but loses the decision, it's a robbery. Period.
If a boxer clearly wins 6 rounds, clearly loses 2 and 4 are debatable it's a close fight... But he still should never lose it. Worst case scenario it's a draw, wich would be a bad decision already but at least mathematical possible. It was that kinda fight. Everything from 114-114 to 118-110 for Cunningham was possible, A win for Adamek wasn't. So it was a robbery. edit: (while I was typing, someone already gave a short version of the story)
Pacquaio was more brusied up than Clottey's in their fight. Vitali was more bruised up than Johnson. Facial damage doesn't always tell the whole story of how a fight went. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE-i86-9S6Y[/ame]
