His opinion is more valid than any of ours. The man was/is a professional boxer and he did fight both fighters.
Very true. Chambers improved since his loss to Povetkin. His fights vs. Peter and Dimitrenko show that. But... Wlad improved his defence, and never lost to a skillful boxer - once he lost to his poor endurance, and twice to hard hitters. Wlad has no stamina issues anymore, and Chambers has no 1-shot-power. Wlad by TKO within 10, possibly TKO 8.
I like Chambers as well. I just dont see him having anything in his arsenal to scare Wlad. You need to be aggressive and must be heavy handed to have a chance to win. Chambers doesn't have either. His chin will keep him in the fight until about the 9th round, where then Wlad will lay the hammer down.
are there any previous fights you guys can see this one resembling? the one maybe obvious comparison is Wlad-Byrd, 1 and 2 Other than that maybe a little bit of Hearns-Benetiz
I don't think Chambers has much of a chance at all, really... This is going to be a long, painful, frustrating fight for him.
It would be nice to have Povetkin on the undercard to build the interest for the winner's next fight. Povetkin vs Boswell, the fight that should have happened last december. Povetkin vs M. Grant would be nice too. Any chance of that happening?
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl you talkin bout the 2 dudes that single-handedly ran the heavyweight division down the drain?? The dudes who shared belts with each other because they didn't want to fight eachother, the dudes who put up snoozefest after snoozefest against bum after bum and completely indisposed the HW of all media interest and mainstream appeal....those guys??? history will remember them as the despots at the reigns of the worst era of HW boxing ever.
So, Lewis, Peter, Rahman, Brewster, Sanders, Brock, Mercer, McCline, Barrett, Donald, Chagaev were all bums, huh ? I can't even tell how much I hate that wannabe gangsta trash bull**** running their fantasies on how a good fight or good fighter has to look like. If you have a look at youtube or a DVD, you see how slow and snoozy all those "good fights" of the heavyweight past really have been, save a couple of burners - once a year if you're lucky. Lewis vs. Tua was a slow cumbersome jab and hold fest, Holyfield vs. Tyson was grapplemania XIV, as was every fight involving John Ruiz, every Briggs fight past 260lb, etc, etc, etc. Now move your hat to be a little more to the side and your glasses to the back of your head, and come up with da real pimp answer left from hell.
Snoozefest after snoozefest? Are you kidding me...and this is coming from someone with an avatar of Floyd Mayweather? Hilarious.

1)just cause they're the best and the others are a distant 3rd doesn't mean they ran **** down the drain 2)agree, would love if they fought but never will so we have to move on 3)you are a floyd fan, thus your opinion on the entertainment value of fights and opponent quality is invalid 4)worst era? not by a long shot. we just got spoiled by the 90s. at least three eras (20s, 50s, and 80s) were just as bad or worse
