I'm a huge Pac fan but I wouldn't say at 106 he would totally kill Calderon. 106 Manny is not 135-147 Manny. I think Calderon is (after Mayweather) one of the best pure boxers in the sport. Pac is taller which would cause problems but who knows what would have happened.

Calderon would win, Manny was not close to the fighter he is now back then.

Calderon is one, if not the best technical boxer in the sport right now.

The only time Manny ever weighed that much was his pro debut as a 17 year old...I dont think Calderon would have to much trouble with a 17 year old Pac.

Manny was a weight drained novice at that weight. Not really a fair matchup imo.

From one extreme to the other. First he is matched up with Hearns, now the 16 year old raw rake version of Pac is matched up with Calderon. Get some real matchups going.

he wasnt a weight drained fighter at 106. That was his natural weight at the time. (really young)

That's why they went up to 112 when they saw that he was physically maturing. They never forced him to cut weight for 106.

Here he is at the 106 lbs. weight class.

    Pacquiao vs Mendones (full fight)
    [yt]Yu20aFvE-lo[/yt]

In actuality, both fighters were over the weight limit by 1+ pounds, but Philippine boxing rules allow the fights to continue, even if the fighters are over the limit by a couple of pounds, as long as both fighters weigh exactly the same, and they are both newbie fighters, and if the fight is not for a championship title.

    PS:

Calderon has the big, big advantage in the fantasy match up.
    Experience and boxing skills.

Manny has a puncher's chance though, as you see in the vid.
