I've made a sizable bet on LARA

Canelo is improving fast and his stamina will be better as the fight is above 154. He has a pretty solid right hand and Lara is not exactly iron chinned. Canelo will be able to hurt him and that will be the deciding factor in this fight. Close rounds go to Canelo too. I really feel that you are going to lose your money.

canelo was lazy against trout because of the open scoring and the crazy scores the judges had...lara wont see the final bell!!!TKO 9!!!

I bet on Lara too. I just don't see the hype for Canelo. Sure he had power and decent handspeed but his stamina is terrible for a 23 year old. He also doesn't seem to have more than one gear (although you could say the same thing about Lara). My feeling is that Canelo either KO's Lara or loses by decision [not withstanding a robbery].

My thoughts also. Canelo likes to box if his opponent is willing and we all know Lara is willing. Canelo might be better served to pressure more often but history has shown that's not the case unless if he's got someone hurt or doesn't respect their power.

Of course Canelo has a puncher's chance given his impressive combo punching at times but I expect Lara to win also.

Funny how I am not sold on Lara. I know styles make fights, but no way Angulo should had have that much success against a fighter consider one of the best "pure" boxers.

I think Canelo learned from the mayweather fight and will make the necessary adjustments to beat Lara

Canelo has questionable stamina. The guy is just naturally stocky, which isn't ideal for stamina. Not his fault, just genetics. But I think there is a reason why is isn't a busier fighter and it's because he likes to pace himself and not expend too much of his gas tank.

This fight will most likely take place in the middle of the ring. Lara has faster feet, hands and reflexes. I just don't see Canelo walking Lara down. That's just not his style. Plus, he would leave himself open for counters by walking down Lara. I just think Lara is a bad style match up for Canelo. Lara struggles with pressure but he looks pretty fantastic as an outboxer. He took Trout to school.

I like Alvarez in this fight, although the Trout-Alvarez fight was close I think the biggest difference between Lara vs Trout and how Lara-Alvarez plays out is the power, Trout was never in position to land anything of note vs Lara but even when he did he didn't have enough to command respect. Alvarez-Angulo was basically over in the first rd he took the fight out of Angulo imo. When Alvarez lands on Lara he's going full stop everytime how Lara can handle Canelo's power will truly dictate who wins

I like Canelo in this fight. He's got fast hands and has shown no problem in letting them go, and while I think his power is a tad overrated, he'll have Lara thinking twice during exchanges. Alvarez either keeps it close and nicks a decision or keeps Lara on the run in a boring fight and wins a clear UD.

Lara looked great against Trout, but Lara was a bad style for Trout. And for every Trout like-performance, Lara's also turned out a Carlos Molina and Freddy Hernandez performance aswell. Against Angulo's, Lara was lucky for the swelling to finally kick when it did as Angulo was breaking him down.

And even if Lara does manage to out box Alvarez, remember he completely outclassed Paul Williams as well...

I'm gonna say it was kind of a dumb bet in the sense that Canelo is who he is. If it is even remotely competitive there is a good chance Lara gets robbed. If Canelo can get a "draw" against Mayweather, he could easily get the nod against little known Lara.

I agree that Lara should win and I think he outboxes him cleanly, but this is about as close to a 50/50 fight as it gets.

i dont see Lara winning....is he capable sure. I just think Nelo is being underrated simply off of the Floyd fight. I think alot of that had to do with gameplan and of course Floyd.

Lara is not hard to get to and Canelo has very good body work to slow him down for a 12 round fight. I think Canelo finishes him in the back half of the fight.

Risky bet for sure. I think that this is a 50/50 fight but I think that in a close fight Canelo will get the nod. Not only because he is the more popular boxer but because his combos and accurate punching will be more pleasing to the judges than Lara's fairly unattractive boxing.
People see Lara as a super slick boxer who will box circles against a clueless Canelo. They forget that Canelo is fairly accurate and is responsible in his defense, he also has fairly fast hands. Lara isn't as slick as people make him out to be, Angulo is as crude as brawlers come and he had no problems finding him.

I got Lara too, but I'm not as sure about this one as I was with Crawford.

I got a hunch that Lara pulls it off, but he'll need a miracle in order to actually get the nod on the cards. If Canelo does win without any controversy, then credit will be due to him for it imo. He took a fight with a guy who could really give him lot of problems.
