Anyone noticed how Napoles very, very rarely clinches?

And also, amazingly, he never blocks punches. It's all slipping and ducking with the hands low.

Can you imagine how off setting that would be? Knowing that every time you throw a punch at this man he's going to avoid it and counter you.

Not to mention the feinting with both hands and feet.

    Very advanced.

One of Napoles' greatest abilities..and this was pointed out in a 70's edition of Boxing World..that he had the gift of accuracy..sneaking through the tightest guard with hard, wickedly placed shots.

I think anybody who can do something as simple as pick up a simple dancing rhythm and time a fighter could've beaten him easily. There's this video on youtube where you can see him moving basically in time with some kind of Latin music. He was too predictable and SURE ain't no Money May! :deal

The fighter you would not want to be grabbed by was Panama Al Brown. Seriously ,I saw Napoles spar for the Ralph Charles fight ,incredibly accurate puncher, with immaculate footwork but, really a big lightweight.

Napoles should've trained to 'dubstep' instead.

Well, I don't like him like the thread starter likes him but he was a pretty good fighter. He got outhustled by inferior fighters a few times. He even was stopped by a few... however, he did have solid wins over Cokes x2, Griffith, and Hedgemon Lewis x2 among others.

The 15th best fighter ever... no way!

    At times he-

threw the hook too wide, kept his hands low, pulled straight back from punches, after jabbing didn't bring his hand back fast enough, when throwing a punch left himself open.

Sometimes every fighter does these things though.
