Hmm. I think Williams would be difficult for Pac. Pac's got powered but Martinez is a natural 154 and he took his punches well (even though Martinez is not a power puncher). Pac's 5'6 1/2 the difference in height is huge.

That's my only concern cause other than size Pac's the much superior fighter.

...Then look frustrated while being strapped into a stretcher, knowing in his own mind that he wasn't actually injured at all.

So would you actually pick Pacquiao then, and if so, by what sort of point margin/stoppage?

Floyd vs. Williams, agree with my assessment or think it's more difficult? Also, prediction on outcome?

    Same for Mosley.

My opinion varies too much. Mosley could get tired and not inflict enough damage to finish him off then lose a UD. Floyd could counter him all night and move away but then again Williams is 6'3 with huge reach and could win on volume. Williams is a guy who looks bad in fights but he remains competitive and wins most of them (I thought he lost vs Martinez but I have to watch it again.

It could be like a 12-0 UD for Mayweather, or 10-2 with him ad******g after 2 rounds. Or a 7-5 affair for Williams but I doubt that. Against Pac, hmm I really don't know I can't give a prediction. Pac's too small and likes to go to war. Against Mosley it depends on his conditioning it could actually be an easy win for Williams. I'm more sure of Mayweather beating him than any other prediction.

Mutual exchanges are usually brought upon when one fighter takes a good shot and instinctively aborts tactics and gameplans to fire back. Rarely do we see this happen with Floyd because of his defensive prowess but against the size, length, speed, and power of Williams, I can envision Floyd going though such a deviation. I also found his aggressive in pocket approach against Mosley to be very interesting and possibly a style that he continues to implore in his future fights which would only improve the chances of the war moments.

Fair enough. Mosley vs. Williams is kinda like Kessler vs. Froch for me. I FELT Kessler would win, but he just came off a big loss, and I couldn't quite picture how it would actually go in the ring given that. Likewise, Mosley just got dominated by Mayweather and there are lingering questions about whether Mosley has it anymore to fight at the very top level or whether Mayweather (Ward in the case of Kessler) was just that damn good. If it was Mosley coming straight off of Margarito, I would pick Mosley without hesitation.

Hmm, true. I can actually see Floyd staying in closer against Williams, as well. As we've seen in the few moments through Floyd's career where he's been tagged and hurt a bit, he does indeed fight back after regaining his senses. He has that mentality of a warrior if you can hurt him. He doesn't let the other guy gain the edge and that could lead to some exciting moments. I just question whether Williams has the speed or Ring IQ to get the best of those exchanges.

I can agree about Paul's ring IQ deficiencies, but I think his speed, length, and sheer punch output can overcome his shortcomings. I also think ring intelligence can actually be more of a hindrance than a good thing for almost any of Floyd's opponents. IMO, entering the ring with the gameplan to outbox Floyd would be futile.

Floyd would have to extend himself more and be willing to punch more than he's shown in a long time to be able to beat Williams. Martinez made Williams eat a ton of counters but he had to in order to keep Williams somewhat at bay, and he's bigger and stronger than Floyd, besides being a southpaw. If Floyd's not willing to throw a lot and risk more than usual, he won't be able to keep Williams off him.

Fair assessment, and you might be right about a high Ring IQ being a bad thing for Mayweather opponents. So, your assessment, then, is Williams by stoppage by way of overwhelming Floyd in war moments?

Yes with full realization that I'm, in fact, out on the limb.

He was getting hit with counters, while his output was just starting up.

If the fight ever comes off, you could probably make some good money if you bet that and were right.

I'm not a gambler and never have been one to make any significant wagers or stakes. Perhaps I might consider going all in with Vcash.
