Dino's just going by sheer weight of numbers. But if you give him time to think about it, he will realise that Wlad's defeats greatly outweigh his wins ad that he was a bum after all :tired

 

Im not emotionally invested in this:nono

 

He used to be an aggressive technical boxer as a young fighter. Even against some of his later opponents like Pulev he showed that he could explode when the time was right. He CAN be exciting.

But yeah, if you are making a case that he's a jab n grabber in the main ... I cannot deny that. :-(

Which he was forced to abandon for his own good , in order to beat much lesser boxers than Fury.

There's plenty of moments wlad kocked his left arm ready to unleash on fury the blow that felled pulev and either missed or withdrew because fury was never standing stiff as a board in one place like pulev was.

wlad will never enter the ring against fury again. that tells you all you need to know about his standing among the greats.

Its pretty clear wlad is having serious issues committing to this rematch.

 

Why?

 

Doesn’t have the mind-set for it.

He simply isn’t going to be a consistent performer over time.

 

Reading through all this and not having the common sense or technological knowledge to quote multiple posts and offer a counter point to is really getting at me, so here's a few of them points I'd raise.

The 'mythological' Dempsey that weighs 210 lbs isn't considered by some which is fair enough, however Luf excellently pointed out that to use the weight disparity and not allowing to bulk is slightly ridiculous.

Pugilist, pointed using a 190 lbs David Haye against a 147 pound Sugar Ray Robinson is a bit shallow if you want to ignore the idea of Demspey adding a 10/20 lbs when he fought at 190 once in like his 2nd fight. Also how much speed did Haye lose going up 15 pounds? Diddly squat.

Everyone seems to be ignoring that most fighters (I say most fighters as he did get dropped by Firpo a bundle of times) Demspey struggled with have differing skill sets and attributes to the ones that he'd be up against

Regardless of all this I will concede Dempsey as himself is very likely to pick up more than 3 loses against Wlad's comp

 

Any -puncher- who walks around at 175+ has the ability to hurt a man any size. Dempsey especially. There are too many examples of hellish middleweights who could and did hurt heavyweights.

Let's not be fooled by the modern trend to bulk up artificially for mass at the expense of speed and comfort. Dempsey and smaller men like Walker and Burley didn't get ridiculous on that score; they used what they had instead of trying to buy a late ticket to the behemoth bash. They understood how to fight larger men: Speed, overhands, keep them turning, make them miss and move to wear them out.

Another thing --Dempsey began diminishing immediately after Willard. Watch the films and you'll see exponentially less crouching, less output, less ferocity. I don't see Wlad beating that Dempsey. In fact, I think he would've caved in earlier than Willard.
