You're better to respond to my points than try to play amateur psychologist. At the end of the day, Bowe beat something closer to Dempsey than Dempsey beat something close to Bowe.

Bowe saw the bell in each contest during his entire pro career but according to what I'm assuming are two Dempsey devotees he can't last more than a couple/few rounds against the Kimbo Slice* of 1920's boxing?


*In fairness to Kimbo (RIP) I would like to add he never drew the colour line

You made a mistake. I never said I took Holy's self diagnosis seriously. All I said was that clearly something was going on.

You aren't putting up very many points to respond to. You seem to feel under attack whenever Dempsey's name is mentioned. Are you triggered? You're acting like a 40 year old bipolar woman.

Bowe has an incredibly shallow resume in one of the best eras of heavyweight boxing in the history of the division. Who are his notable wins? Holyfield, Cooper, and Hide? Never fought Lewis, Moorer, Tyson, Foreman, Douglas, Mercer, Tua, Bruno, McCall, Morrison, Ruddock, or many other other top ranked fighters of the day.

The best you Dempsey riders can come up with is Harry Wills and Harry Greb. Not that you even know who they are. I'll see you right after your quick boxrec scan...

 

Absolute peak for peak, I'd pick Bowe over most (I'm one of those idiots who tentatively places him in the top 15!). But Bowe, like Douglas, has a very different peak vs prime. Not many heavies have such a disparity there.
I'll go with Dempsey by a hair.

He'd fight all of them. That's still one more name than Bowe who wouldn't fight any including Morrison.
