Beating Andy Lee is a waste of time , and he could be stripped.

Not a waste of time, but at this point, fighters like Lee and NDam contribute no more to GGGs legacy than did Murray, Rubio, or Geale.
Gotta continue getting guys on the up......Jacobs, Yeller, Charlos, Lara etc......

Kell Brook is a damned good fighter with better ability than GGG at controlling the range and timing/distance which is why he dominated in round 2. GGG then came out in round 3 swinging because he knew that he lost round 2.

I beg to differ, there were several posters saying that he gave not only Monroe but Brook free shots. I wouldn't mention it if had not of read it. Not once but on several occasions. Not saying you said it, I don't know. What I do know is that I read it on this forum.

That whole douche troika of Starks, Rozier and Jacobs have been spouting their collective epiphany on how they can exploit Golovkin after the Brook fight. It is all a bunch of specious B.S. that will in fact hurt their preparation.

Another Starks, Rozier protege who GGG smashed up in Curtis Stevens is now blaming his loss on not having a game plan so they are making this paramount with Jacobs. Unfortunately their game plan will be based on bad information and Jacobs is an instinctive fighter who could not follow a blue print if his life depended on it.

Well in Brook's defense he's never been KO'd cold or dropped hard by a feather duster, and Jacobs is aware that GGG won't just be violently walking through his shots right? I fear for his health if Jacobs is actually buying into his line of BS.

Jacobs is getting knocked out here I'm afraid, Pirog style. Sucks though, I like Jacobs. A cancer survivor fighting at the highest level. I'd love to see him win, but I doubt it

Yeah, I haven't really wanted to see this match in spite of all the people basically campaigning for it, I can't see this match ending in any other way than a brutal KO. Sure Jacobs has power, but not GGG or Lemieux type of power, not enough to affect GGG all that much, and if he tries the Quillin Jump approach, he gets KO'd cold, GGG is an underrated counter puncher and would make Danny pay dearly for his aggression.

At least it will be a fast knockout, not a prolonged one.

Danny is going down fast here, too much power.

I'm predicting Danny gets rocked by the first clean jab that connects a la Kovalev-Ward, and GGG finishes him soon after. GGG KO1.

Oh well at least we'll get an early 2017 KO of the year contender.

He abandoned his defense after he was getting outboxed. Round 2 he was outboxed, round 3 he got aggressive.

Golovkin takes SOME hits on purpose, not in the Brook fight. He was reckless.

He was fighting a naturally smaller guy who obviously could not hurt him so he basically abandoned his defense. Notice he did not fight anything like that against Lemieux. The way he fought Lemieux will be the way he fights Jacobs. So if Jacobs thinks he is going to be able to land that much on GGG he is going to be in for a shorter night than he already is in for

The problem with Jacobs' logic here is that he fights nothing like Brook. Brook has speed of hand and foot, he is a straight puncher, and he is gutsy. These attributes are a large part of the reason that he was able to land the punches on GGG that he did.

Plus, GGG realized early on that Brook was the quickest guy he had faced and he knew he would have to make it a "street fight" to win decisively. He left himself open a bit more defensively than usual because he was looking to catch Brook with big shots coming in. He knew Brook couldn't hurt him like he knew Monroe couldn't hurt him. The same will not be true of Jacobs.

I agree with the above posters who think he will fight Jacobs in a similar fashion to the way he fought Lemieux. Jacobs may not be as durable as Lemmy and might be taken out sooner. That said, Jacobs can definitely hurt GGG if he connects, so G will need to be on the ball. But really Jacobs doesn't have much more than a puncher's chance unless GGG has suddenly slipped majorly overnight, which is not likely.
