Jacobs didn't even call Golovkin out. In the post-fight interview, when asked if he considers himself a best MW, he said "God no" and started talking about correcting his weaknesses and eventually becoming the best. He will definitely be ducking for at least a couple of years.
Constant trash like this from fans is why people get annoyed with certain fighters. Hard to root for someone when a lot of their fans are obnoxious as hell. With that said, nobody wants Golovkin because he's extremely high risk with little reward. I think it'd be a good fight. Also, I think people lose so bad to him because of his reputation; it gets in their head and the minute they get hit or knocked down by him, they're whole mentality changes.
Nop, you said GGG is high risk (Agreed) but then you insisted it's low reward. Okay, how is he low reward? From what standpoint? Does beating GGG mean nothing? Does he not bring the money? Can you back those two things up?
Jacobs would get paid about the same beating Golovkin as he did Quillin. Jacobs made $1.5 mil, Golovkin made $2 mil, Lemeiux made $1.5 mil. Considering the risks... Golovkin is a relativity low reward for Jacobs. Unless he gets paid more, but if he takes it for whatever he's offered then good for him and us. I hope they work something out soon, it'll be late 2016.
Don't start this "A" side nonsense. Neither of these guys are major draws, aa was seen by GGGs PPV numbers.
Of course he will. And with good reason.:!: He lucked out, clipped and hurt Quillin early last night, nothing more. The same will NOT happen to GGG.:deal
1.5 million + belts + bragging rights of beating GGG is low reward? What higher reward other than Canelo is there in the MW division?
There isn't, but why get $1.5 mil to fight Golovkin when you can get the same fighting the likes of Quillin? Unless you're saying Quillin and Golovkin are almost equal, and only belts and bragging rights separates them...
Jacobs won't fight GGG because he CANT due to network issues. Poor Quillin got exposed badly by Jacobs. No one saw this coming at all. Won't be surprised to see Lee fight Jacobs before he fights Golovkin. If Jacobs beats Lee, Haymon will keep the WBO hostage to his fighters as long as possible. If all this happens, GGG should either go up to 168 or join haymon.
