Liam Smith is no mug. He’s a very tough, durable opponent with an excellent jab and work rate. I think people are overlooking him or dismissing him as a weak fighter. He’s a right handful. Munguia looks promising but he took the belt off a very beatable opponent who fed on the carcass of Cotto.
Who’s he beat that makes you think he’s of the highest quality? He might turn out to be but at the moment there is nothing much to go off. His resume’ doesn’t make you nod & think ‘wow’.
You don't need to be the highest quality to beat Liam Smith. The guy is a fringe contender at world level. You Brits can root him on all you want, Munguia will stomp a hole in him, and deep down you know it.
You lost me at ‘you brits’ to be honest. I’m not basing my judgement on nationality. You don’t rate Smith and that’s fair enough but you/we have no idea what level Munguia is, or even Sadam Ali before him.
He just never had the platform/opportunity before & he sezied the moment mate. I will say this amigo, beefy will be a better litmus test that is no doubt. I personally just dont see him keeping the mongrol off of him.
am no fan of smith and ave said this guy probably beats him easy but I know who my money is on at light middle out of smith and brook because alot of posters seem to think brook is gonna have a great run at light middle off beating a poor opponent lol if smith is gonna get smashed up then brook has no chance and his got quit in him Smith hasn't shown that yet
