i think Lamotta by ud or late stoppage due to an accumulation of punches.

It's not particularly competitive for starters. Mayorga gets a lot of unfair stick IMO, at his very best (and with a 24 hour rehydration period) he's a big Welter, with an innate toughness, really heavy hands and a very always fighter as well.

Weighing in on fight day, these two are the same size. Lamotta beats him up nonetheless. In H2H matchups, I'd give Mayorga better shouts against boxers that need to establish their rhythm to get anything done. There, Mayorga has more of a chance to impose his style IMO.

Lamotta would seriously have to be ill with Lupus or not train to lose this fight. Yes, Mayorga can punch and is severely underrated but Lamotta would maul him for 12- 15 rounds.

    Very good scrap.
Mayorga is neither underrated or overrated IMO, he could have done better with his careerm though if he was a bit more dedicated. But Lamotta is in a totally different league.

Well, many call him a bum but bums don't beat Vernon Forrest twice and take Shane Mosley to hell and back. Not to mention the fact that he won the fight with Spinks, IMO.

Mayorga, too much finesse. The guy could thread the needle so, so well and was generally just to quick and smooth for LaMotta.
