I'd take LaMotta by late stoppage. Duran would be fearless as always, but the pressure of the bigger, stronger LaMotta will ultimately be too much for him.

I thought Hagler fought a rather subduded fight ,and showed Duran too much respect. It appeared to me that Duran was getting by on bluff in the later rounds, a marvellous performance from him , but Hagler never called his bluff ,imo.

Duran was stopped once before he was 47 years old by Lamotta's physical and stylistic opposite in Hearns.

Duran ain't gonna be stopped by Lamotta. I respect your right to an opinion but at the same time gotta call you on this.

Lamotta on pts, the size would equal... & then some... the skill gap.

Palomino, Dejesus III, Moore, Barkely & Cuevas were all at least as good + he won those.... but taking opponent quality into account you could have a case, COULD have.

    I like Duran on points.
I think he would outbox and outfox Jake.

    :yep

Duran got Hagler to call that bluff and thats something.

I agree no way Duran is getting stopped i think he is too clever for one to be stopped as LaMotta wasnt exactly a one punch, bye bye Senses puncher.

all great performances and your missing DeJesus 2. But IMO the fact that an ex LW takes a MW champ to the wire is simply amazing.

I have been watching alot of Duran lately and i cant see Jake beating him. Duran was so clever its unbelievable. I think Duran can out box Jake using his crafty skills to lead Jake onto counter punches. The only thing is Durans stamina as it seemed worse at MW. But i think hes clever enough to preserve it in this fight

I thought his performance against Barkley was stupendous.
