Jake is so crap that I think it is almost impossible for a fighter of AJ's caliber to float him rounds without it looking like a total fix.

"Fight me, or your entire brand is devalued by committing one of the worst ducks in history" is hardly forced?

He had to fight Usyk to keep the money train rolling. They sure as hell didn't want to. You don't get credit for fighting the forced fight required to maintain your brand.

I just hope there's not a "gentleman's agreement" between parties for AJ to let the fight get past a certain number of rounds at least, before he goes for the finish. I doubt Jake nor Netflix like the idea of a 2 or less round fight.

Jake only a few weeks back was still training to fight a 5'5", 135lbs man. He can't possibly expect to be able to put up a remotely adequate fight against AJ this coming December.

So what if it looks like a total fix? You think anyone cares?

It's illegitimate either way. If AJ blasts him out in 15 seconds it's just as bad.

It would probably only be able to happen if it was a fix though. If AJ was to go in there and fight to his maximum level, there would be a genuine health and safety issue around Paul. No one wants to see body on the slab. AJ would have to agree to pulling his punches and going at 40% effort.

Paul won't be dehydrated because the fight will be at HW (when's the last time AJ could have made cruiser? when he was 12?), which helps. And don't the major concerns come from an extended beating? This won't be an extended beating. This'll be AJ landing a right hand or two. There's no way a club level cruiser hangs in there while a hard hitting super heavy wails on him.

Anyway, I don't think AJ would participate in a fix. He wants another run at a title, he just doesn't want to have to fight Usyk (or Dubois) for it. If the fight happens, AJ knows exactly what we all want from him, which is the fight being referenced as the definition of "**** around and find out". I want a faceoff where 6'1", 200lb Paul tries to shove 6'6", 250lb AJ, only for AJ to not budge, then AJ to shoves him so hard he flies across the room. I want a highlight reel KO1, then AJ grabbing a mic and asking "Can we be done with this YouTuber boxing **** now?"

None of this will happen because the fight won't. But a man can dream.

Remember, Jake Paul did beat Mike Tyson. So Jake Paul is like Holyfield in that regard.

Anyone that beat Mike Tyson, you must give a chance to beat AJ. Wouldn't you give the Holyfield that beat Mike Tyson a chance to beat AJ?

It's a publicity stunt. There's no way Jake Paul would go from fighting old men, midgets and old midgets to Antony Joshua.

There is no possible way he goes through with this.
And from my position it looks like JAKE backed out of the Davis fight because Davis wasn't going to play along.
You could tell Jake was annoying Davis at the press conference.

Eddie Hearn is already saying AJ isn't fighting anyone until February of 2026. This is all just talk, in an attempt to keep AJ in the limelight while he refuses to actually. . . you know. . .box.

I know it sounds ridiculous. But it could happen. Joshua might be absolutely shot after the Dubois fight. Getting KO'd the way he did, as well as having a history of being KO'd, may lead him to be no where near the same fighter, especially the one who fought Usyk.

Jake Paul also has good KO power, he could catch a shot Joshua and put him on ***** street. It sounds ridiculous but Jake Paul is actually a real boxer unlike Francis Ngonnau.
