Yeah it's pretty obvious that Jake Paul has next to no boxing experience, you don't even need to see him throw a punch to realise that, the way he moves the way he holds himself with his chin too far up in the air screams total novice. Tommy Fury doesn't look like a world beater but he at least looks like someone who has actually boxed a bit and is doing it against guys who've actually had pro fights unlike Paul who is scraping the bottom of the barrel to find guys who will make him look good.
When he went back in the ring after love island the Mrs asked me if he was really good. I've not stopped laughing since Nice kid but he either needs to knuckle down hard or just give it up...if his right hand was the iceberg ...the Titanic could've slipped it
I noticed that about his right hand too. He had some success early with the odd right hand counter but he really doesn't know how to set it up or how to disguise it and so any opponent will quickly learn if you watch for the right which is his only offensive weapon you can disarm him and he's much less of a threat. But he's young and he has the right people around him to teach him new skills but question is, is he smart enough to learn them. As you say he seems like a nice lad but he also to me comes across as the dumbest of the Fury's.
And you couldn't train a guy in 6 months to beat most of the guys with a combined record of 14-172 that Tommy has fought so far? Im not saying Paul is any good. Im just saying that as of right now, they have essentially the same experience.
The only truly great Fury fighter is Tyson, John Fury was abysmal, Hughie & Tommy are mediocre at best.
In honesty I don't think he's a dumb guy...alot of kids nowadays sorta out on this cute dumb adorable act...women do it as well...it's abit ****in weird tbh. I just think he boxes to fit on with the rest of his family...I don't think he's about that life..he's a smaller celeb and made alot of money from being good to look at and off love island....he will sell tickets cause he makes young women damp and off his name...but he doesn't really appear to have that much about him.....like you said if he dedicated himself to it 100% which will be hard to do because he doesn't need to do it then he does have people around him who can turn him into a half decent boxer... British level ...maybe.... As it stands he's from a fighting family but I don't think he likes it and does it cos..that's what Fury's do I'm possibly being overly harsh n I'd be happy if him to prove me wrong cos like I said he seems a good kid..not arrogant...not a ****...he'd be easy to support if he went for it
Until Jake Paul fights someone that actually hits him back and isn't a flabby wrestler or a You Tuber, he deserves no respect. Fury would smash the granny out of him. Which isn't me saying he's something special, it's just Jake Paul is a fraud with no guts.
Nobody can say how good Paul is or not because he hasn't fought a real boxer. He has had about 2 rounds worth of boxing in total. He has fought a fat youtuber, an old NBA player who had never boxed and an old, out of shape wrestler who had had a hip replacement. All over very quick. Looked suspect that Askren also took a dive. I think there are half decent amateurs who would take Paul out quick.
Tommy Fury is ahead of Jake Paul. He is fighting low level pro's but he is fights pro's atleast. Jake Paul has yet to beat a pro boxer.
I don't think so. He was good legit grappler and was known as legit and proven fighter. Later he had turned into MMA and if he was able to turn fight in grappling contest he was not bad, even really good fighter. Striking? Yeah, there he never had enough credentials, this is reality.
Tommy Fury is an illegitimate child. Even Tyson and Shane Fury were embarrassed to acknowledge Tommy up until a few years ago. He was seen as the runt of the litter because John Fury cheated on his wife and in gypsy culture that is a big no-no. Then Tommy wanted to get his dad's attention and make his half-brothers respect him so he started juicing as a teenager and starting to box. He then went on a TV show and got famous and he slowly got accepted by the family.
