We have been talking about Harrison 10 years after his gold.

How will we be talking about Degale in 10 years after his Olympics?

    I suspect he will be a 2 weight champ 168 & 175

DeGale has that nasty streak which you need and also he's in gym wars as a kid...he loves the sport and likes to fight. He is different kettle of fish to Audley and i think he will of achieved a least a world title if not two weights....who knows how far he can go...he just needs to create his own style.

he's different to audley, same as khan, who didn't win gold, but was just as popular after olympics. these two will be world champions in multiple weight divisions IMO. khan certainly in my opinion.

once he has had to pull a win out the bag after a hard fight then I'll make a decision.

True. His chin still hasn't been tested yet either. It's clear to see he is a very talented boxer, he just hasn't been tested yet. Maybe Smith will give us an idea, but I doubt it.

If he beats a tough established champ in smith to win the Brit title then arguably he will have outdone anything audleys did in his pro career. That European belt was a shambles, neither fighter should have been fighting for that

He should beat Groves, who looked awful on Friday. He will get alot of hype, but I gleamed at hearing that he looked at fighting Luis Garcia. To me, Garcia would beat him and confirm his title sights.

As much i dislike Degales arrogance, the Groves fight on the weekend showed me he's too open and there to be hit. If Degale-Groves fight within the next year, Degale takes this fight hands down, too slick imo.

Would be interested to see if Degale could step up to world level then maybe take on someone like Dirrell in 2012 (provided Dirrell hasnt gone into a self-diagnosed coma).

Degale v Groves will be a replay of the Watson v Benn fight in the 80's will Groves playing the role of Benn
