Everybody is being too hard on the lad. He was told to act like a dick to sell tickets. He loses a close decision. Finds it hard to take like nearly every other boxer on the planet.
He needs constructive criticism from people in the know, so he can understand where things went wrong.
Still got plenty of time to turn things around, as I'm sure he will.

You should really go back and have a good look at some of Degale's quotes. After everything he still hasn't given Grooves any respect

I don't care about this guy or his ****ing career.

I wont be watching his fights whether he's world champ or slapping gypsies in a car park.

I had Groves winning by 1 point. Degale simply didn't throw enough punches in the first half/most of the fight. Degales foot work also looked pretty bad. Whenever he went to close the distance to Groves it looked like he would do a little jog, plant his feet before throwing and then before he'd throw a punch Groves would hit him 2 or 3 times and then be out of there. That then just carried on repeating itself. If Degale didn't win the last few rounds I would of had it quite a dominant UD by 4 or 5 points. Some of the early rounds were pretty boring with no action; I remember one of them Degale landed 4 punches and Groves landed 2 which I scored a 10-10 round. Some people may have given that to Degale but for me the 2 extra punches did not warrant winning the round. There were a few rounds like this.

Pretty simple really, if he wants people to think he isn't a total ****, then stop behaving like one.

Still laughing at the fact that Groves beat him again after all the bull**** he spouted and the insults he came out with. Pride comes before a fall and all that. Reminded me of all the bollocks Benn came out with before Watson KO'd him with a jab :rofl

Obnoxious Classless Arsehole. If he was told to act the villian in order to sell tickets, then why didn't he act like a gentleman after the fight ?
Another fraudley in the making.Biggest problem with prospects is,if they have enough hangers on and yes men in the camp, they start to believe the bull****.
The tasteless personal taunting and verbal abuse of Groves will haunt Degale for a long long time. Both in the ring and in his day to day life.I look forward to his next schooling.
Not a hope of winning a world title,he's seriously overated.Amateur pedigree and Olympic medlas mean jack **** once the headguard and vest comes off.

    Well said Two Shakes! :thumbsup

James "A Farce" DeFail & his moronic trainer/cheerleader are the biggest joke in boxing right now & it couldn't happen to nicer people!!!

Here's a guy who could've had all of the UK behind him after winning the olympic gold medal but instead choose to act like an arrogant, big headed, childish ***** & alienated the majority of british fight fans especially after his disgusting & pathetic trash talking of Georgie Groves who has more class, dignity & integrity in his little finger than DeFail,McDonnell & W@rren put together!!!

He obviously still hasn't learned anything from the defeat as he still keeps whining about being robbed & whinging about Georgie Groves tactics even though he told everyone that he'd knock GG out within 4 rounds & if he tried to box at distance (be "Mr Technical"),he would only last a few rounds more as GG wasn't capable of boxing like that against him!!!Absolutely HILARIOUS!!! :rofl:rofl:rofl

I find DeFail more obnoxious than Naseem Hamed (& that's saying something!!!),but at least Naz could back it up & won multiple world titles, something this idiotic muppet will never do because as soon as he fights one of the elite at SMW,they'll walk through his pitty-pit punches & destroy him once & for all plus i don't believe he'll ever recover mentally from the GG defeat!!!:lol::lol:

In Degale's case, talent is useless if you haven't the intelligence to use it. Like standing there posing when he should have started 'work' on Groves in the early rounds....

Never heard that saying before huh, dummy? So much for the erudite Brit. :bbb

Another day, another over-hyped British boxer meets a predictable end.

Next up in the British disappointment merry-go-round: David Haye!

Nah, cant say I have. Ive heard of ''the sceond coming of Jesus''......but not god. You sure you didnt just make that up?

Lets take a look at the US merry-go-round this past year or so:

    Williams
    Dirrell
    Alexander
    Pavlik

:rofl ....all of these were on you and your fellow americans future hof lists, already on some peoples p4p list.

Dont even get me started on that runner Bradley, such a coward Judah has to step in and take a beating for him.

Mayweather is your top dog and he unfortunately is about as active as my nan. Ill give you props for money May, the rest were just over-hyped ameribums.

Say what you like about Haye, hes better than anything your country has produced the past 20 years almost.

.....anyone remember that guy...what was his name....Jeff 'the next mike tyson' Lacy?.....what happened to him?

I've only seen the fight once, when it was live. But I had Groves winning by 1 round.

DeGale is surrounded by a bunch of pricks.

Just fast forward this video to 18 minutes...... :nut

    ...

He is a good fighter and an olympic gold medallist.

Everybody expected him to beat Groves and Groves had a smart gameplan and turned it into a great fight.

I scored the fight and had Degale a round or two up, as did many people.

I think America hypes there fighers just as much as any other country...

Ortiz was the next HUGE thing before he quit against Maidana and even before that Khan beat him in the Amateurs.

And people like Jeff Lacy, he was billed to be the next Tyson and Calzaghe broke his heart and beat the **** out of him, and Lacy has never been the same since.

    I mean... You're a ****ing idiot.
