Hatton used to do a couple stone didnt he? doing that away from the heavyweight division is mental
I think he was around 300lbs and (stupidly) tried to get down to his prime fighting weight of 220lbs (which he achieved!) A more natural but fit weight of 250 and the fight could've been different IMO. I'm not certain on that Path'....maybe Gaz can help? Duran in the 2nd Leonard fight, Margarito in the Mosley fight, both had big cuts IIRC. I mean, Jeffries was a bigg'un; funny thing was he was only 6'!!!!
if you look at the pictures of when they signed the contracts and some of the early training pics of Jeffries he looks easily 300 pounds. compare it with those on fight night its amazing the condition he was able to whip himself into.
Bowe for the 2nd Golota fight dropped somthing big i think 6' and 300lbs!!!!!! he must'nt have been able to move nevermind fight. Corrales RIP was a big weight dropper too wasnt he Not to forget to mention the forums very own Tony Bellew - did he go from 200 to 175?
One of the first things Jeffries did when the fight was signed was to go to a German health spa and dropped over 2 stones before he even started training. I can't think of a bigger drop in weight TBH. Duran is a good call, I believe John L Sullivan had also really let himself go before the Corbett fight and hadn't had a "real" fight in 4 years prior to that bout.
