Do you remember when he was facing Alfredo Angulo? Kirkland was supposed to be easy fight for Angulo, turned out ot be nightmare and gave to Angulo propably career ending beating. Kirland did show in that night he has a heart of a lion. People are selling short Mandingo warrior here. IF he still got "it" in him this will be long night for Canelo.
I expect a good fight. Kirkland's problems are twofold... no Anne in his corner and he doesn't defend well enough and will get caught by Canelo enough to get stopped.
I've heard he's having to ditch masses of weight for this though, ridiculous amounts in fact... So the question is, how much will that weight strain affect him? On his best day, and his best weight - I'd say he struggles with Canelo, given his in activity and the question of his dedication in the camp, I'd say he gets stopped. Think Canelo's camp will be looking for a stoppage to send out they're intentions.... I'd like to be proved wrong though, as I do like a good sucsess storry
I think Alvarez still has a lot to learn and Kirkland has very little to lose. The value on Kirkland is very good, considering his size and style. Sure, Alvarez kind of beat Lara and Trout, but he hasn't looked that great with the few guys who bring the pressure.
if kirkland gets into his groove early this could be a good fight but stylistically it's a perfect fight for canelo.
 Take a look at both's opposition. Not even comparable other than both fighting Angulo. Canelo's resume is light years better than Kirkland's.
The odds are stacked against Kirkland in this fight. I don't feel like he's prepared well. He hadn't had a good trainer in a while. His defense is pretty lousy and he eats punches with his face. Plus, his chin is glass...not a good combination.
That was a crazy fight. I recall being so mad because they were having production issues that night but the action made up for any issues. James killed it that night
All the action starts on HBO @ 9 EST I hope the save the replay of PAC for lasttong Good fights on now on CBS at 4 EST...or NBC:huh
