Honestly I have no idea who I would favour in the end.

I think it's either Sanders by early stoppage or Jones by late stoppage.

If Roy had enough power to hurt Ruiz numerous times he has the power to stop Corrie.

Ruiz got a gift DQ against Kirk Johnson and probably deserved to be 1-1-1 with Holyfield, although maybe not in the order they fought. He beat Golota fair really despite people rightfully hating him :D

Pretty much, except Jones likely doesn't go for the kill. Sanders in the first 2 or wide Jones decision, Sanders was a 2 round fighter at this stage and after 2 rounds would struggle to apply pressure

Yes, Golota scored those 2 KDs early but he outlanded Golota by allot, outworking him, jabbing and grabbing continuously as Golota didn't do much for the majority of the time. That's my recollection from many years ago anyway.

Not that Ruiz was ever top2 in the world, I'm sure plenty of boxers could beat him, he just deserved to be ranked as such at 1 time or another

Yeah, that was a really close fight. Golota didn't get much done outside his early success, and Ruiz was actually lighting him up with single haymakers in the late rounds.

I feel like, even without the KD's, Golota has a better argument against Chris Byrd.

The best thing about Ruiz was his trainer.

He was beating Kirk Johnson. I don't know what you're implying there.

I'm telling you, Sanders would be an awful matchup for Jones. Jones was vulnerable to big left haymaker/crosses form southpaws. Tarver and Del Valle both dropped him with them. And, win or lose, Sanders always landed big lefts. He did it on Wlad, Rahman, and Vitali. I think he'd take Jones out and I don't take Jones lightly at heavyweight, at all.

Toney might have made it to round 2 vs prime Liston...but it's doubtful.

If Toney laster 24 rounds with Peter he's lasting longer than two against Liston.

I agree. He was also going to stop him. Was bullying him hard, and had dropped him heavily. Kirk was exhausted.
