Hopefully Toney drops down low enough to take on Bernard Hopkins.

Unless I see a recent photo of him I won't believe it. I am a big fan of Toney but the fact is his self discipline is terrible.

He is clearly a non entity again in world class boxing terms just like those years in the wilderness prior to beating Jirov and Holyfield and is once again being forced to get himself in shape to once again regain relevance. Can he do it? Possibly he has done it before but he is much older now and even if he does it won't last long once he gets a few nice pay days he'll pile all the weight back on again.

I hope he can do it and get down to cruiser. I would love to see him against Tarver and Hopkins though I suspect he will not be the same fighter we saw against Jirov, he's older now, has had years of poor diet and big weight fluctuations which we all know can ruin a fighter. Chris Byrd was not the same when going down from heavy to light heavy the weight loss after all those years fighting at a higher weight greatly diminished him as a fighter and it could effect Toney in a similar way,

That's not great news if you like Toney. If anything it only reassures that he's a knockout waiting to happen. He has been high in weight for way too long and now he's dropping too low too late. That will only make him vulnerable in my opinion.

You have predicted him to get knock out for seven years now

Toney should take on Lebedev, to qualify for a shot against Tarver or BHop.

Guys, it's not about weight loss, it is about fat loss. Toney may have lost 30 pounds of muscle for all I know.

Why does everybody want to see Toney fight?

I don't wanna see him in there with any top 20 caliber guy... or anyone at all preferably.

His style relied heavily on speed and reflexes, so even with normal lifestyle I would expect him to be way past prime at 42. I think there is a chance he gets to 215 as he was about that not long ago against Greer... the question is if it changes anything, and I'm afraid it doesn't.

I don't think BHop would want to face Toney. Then again, if he gets to 200 or below, no one else will either.

    Fear.

He never really relied on his reflexes. Especially at Heavyweight. He just counter punched the **** out of his opponents.
He was 217 against Holyfield and looked good and he was 217 before Damon but looked horrible. He was saying all like how he will get back in shape and its time work hard... Next fight comes in at 257.
Against Nunn he was 157. Thats 100 ****ing pounds and mostly fat.
