James Toney has one of the best chins I can think of..... Toney took some serious leather from Sammy Peter in their 2007 rematch, and it was the first time I ever saw Toney a wee bit unsteady and hurt by a big punch.... If Toney can survive 24 rds with a 2006 / 2007 Sam Peter, he can take a wallop to the max...... Toney's chin is granite....

Not to forget that Peter landed huge rabbit punches on Toney in both fights, and did so intentionally. It was these rabbit punches that buzzed Toney, it wasn't even legitimate punches..

Say about Toney what you will, but he was/still is one of the hardest, toughest m*thas to ever put on a pair of gloves

The Jones kd was a chest bump, Toney took the punch well but was bumped by Jones causing him to be off balance. His chin is one of the best if not the best I've seen for a guy moving up in weight but also very solid general.

To be fair Toney was leaning to the side but Peter was known to be a blatant rabbit puncher anyways. Look at the first Wlad-Peter fight two of those three kds were from rabbit punches.

Yep, Toney is a natural MW/SMW who still has one of the very best chins in the HW division.

As for McClellan, he was a very good and tough fighter, but part of his game was intimidating his opponents. Sort of like a mini Tyson. He couldn't do that with a man who was equally hard as himself - Benn - and he would certainly not have been able to do it with Toney, who is even harder and tougher, in- and outside the ring.

Toney was so drained in Nov. 1994 when he lost his title to Jones over 12 rds.... Again, Toney starved leading up to the weigh-in and needed Gatorade glaore after making 168.... Come fight time, Toney was up to 184 pounds... Mainly liquids.... His performance was flat......

    Not at all.
The ref kept saving Benn from McClellan by constantly separating them and allowing Benn time to recover when McClellan had him in huge trouble .
Under legitimate refereeing McClellan would have stopped him inside 1 or 2.

Which is the reason why your sister and neighbors shouldn't decide the HOF entrances.

Think about this : do your sister or neighbors know who James Toney is ?
so he shouldn't be into the HOF as well ?
do they know who Henry Armstrong or Sam Langford were ?

    I rate Toney's chin as #1 P4P.
