James Toney vs. Ike Ibeabuchi

    I picked Ibeabuchi earlier in the thread. The punch stat remark was part of a discussion between Pontius and myself.

    I would also like to say Toney's wins at heavyweight are not overated. He is a former middleweight. Nor former middleweight in recent years has come close to doing what he's done at heavyweight. Toney was not as good as Roy Jones at 168, nor 175; and he would probably lose to him at heavyweight if they met here. Toney has still outdone Jones at this weight time and again.

    Sorry, it seems I was mistaken by this remark so I assumed you choosed Toney to win. Still, Ike was more active fighter than Toney in HW (or even in CW).

    It is like saying that running one hundred meters in 2 minutes is great achievement for someone with one leg ;-) (which is probably true) So while I have to agree Toney is one of the best HW who started at middleweight, I still think his HW achievements as such are not that great. Especially if you count also his losses - he got outboxed by Peter in rematch, and should've lost the first fight with Rahman.
