Who was great at LHW? Are you reffering to Toney who wasnt impressive at LHW? Still look at G Johnson who was impressive at MW and became a LHW champ, but was not great at SMW losing more than he won
Comical isnt it. That was his answer to try and explain his comment that he viewed Calzaghe as a poor mans Jirov atsch
Calzaghe would beat the Holyfied that Toney beat with pure speed. He won't stop Holyfeld but he would outbox him.
Cant see how he has? My consistency here is second to none and if you know what he was responding to, it looks even worse and you laughing, well you fell down flat with him there. Maybe you could even try answering for him?
I would have to favor Calzaghe at LHW, because Toney looked like **** there and I didn't think he was fully motivated during that time.. At SMW, It is a tough one for me to call... Calzaghe is miles ahead there on resume, but H2H is different.. I think Calzaghe would have some success swarming, but I also think Toney would have success slipping punches and countering.
Toney possibly knocks him out let alone win every round. Slappy might get a British stoppage in Britain by slapping Toney's arms.. other than that, prime Toney is too much for Slappy.
When did you see Calzaghe knocked out? When did you see Calzaghe on bambi legs having to hold to survive? You didnt, he would be up attacking
this is true in Cardiff, the ref might stop the fight after joe gets floored clean by toney in round 1, awarding a ko to calzaghe when toney slips momentarilty. this is how calzaghe stayed "unbeaten", by pretending the times he was getting beaten were somehow stoppages for him.
I'm not too keen on Joe Calzaghe at LHW. We saw too few fights to measure his ability at that weight. I think James Toney would be too strong for him. At SMW it's a toss up. I'm leaning on Calzaghe confusing Toney and outboxing him for the bigger part of the fight, but he would clearly get tagged with some crips counters along the way.
