This answer is non-sequential really...is it the result of a GGG/Toney discussion?

You should like him because a crack dealer from Michigan got his life together enough to not sell crack. Gave a shout to a fast food restuarant before telling Don King to kiss his ass. Smokes cigars in the ring and was winning heavyweight fights as a tubby former middle weight who was about as intelligible as an electric can opener by the end. He gave his life and brain to boxing. It showed in the ring.

Also he is the best back foot inside fighter on film. First Boxer to fight in the UFC. A counter puncher who is the only guy to land over 400 punches in a fight more than 4 times. Responsible for some of the most beautiful sequences in boxing history. Took his first title as a 20-1 underdog by knocking out the number 3 pound for pound fighter in boxing in his hometown.

    He'd lose 0-5.

He barely beat Williams and Tiberi.

Well of course you see it as 0-5 or 1-4.

That's why you made the thread in the first place.

To make you feel better after the results of the GG-Toney thread.

Let's make it interesting and have GG vs the same fighters.

It sounds like you rate boxers based on how ethical you perceive them as

According to this Mendoz guy , Toney goes 0-5 , but Golovkin would go 5-0.

I just want to see hoe the board views Toney. For example this thread is not even 24 hours old and one poster felt Toney would go 4-1 vs the best 5 middles -super middles in the past 50 years. If the fanboys from the GGG/Toney thread wish to vote here, they can. I already leaned something from one reply.

    I'll be voting 0-5 shortly.

How could he have beaten guys like Hagler etc, if he barely beat Tiberi?

Are you going to answer my questions that were put to you on the other thread?

    Thanks.

He rates boxers, depending on how people think they'd fair against his favourite fighters.

But do you want to see that because of a GGG/Toney thread?

Thanks for an intestine post, but not factually correct. Art Jimmerson was the first boxer to fight in the MMA ( 1993 ). Toney did give it a try, his record ended at 0-1. Toney like some other criminal types that turn to boxing was a good athlete.. He was a good football player, but too small to play it last high school. He turned to boxing and it worked for him. A loose cannon type, sorry my hero's do not include people who sell drugs to teenagers, or threaten to kill someone with a gun.

I'm not sure about landing 400 punches 4 times being a record. I highly doubt that.

He's also a racist POS. Quoting his words:

Of course Toney ran from a fight with Wlad who would have knocked him out.

    For sure.

    Is he normally like this?

I've not had many dealings with him before.

Is he respected on the Classic?
