before Toney takes this fight, he better take a look at Hogan/Lesnar. That Lesnar is for real brother.

Lesnar is a wrestler. Toney's going down.

If they think James Toney can't achieve 280lbs, they don't know James Toney....

I agree no UFC fighter will try n box him. They have more sense! If they thought they could box and win against a boxer they'd cross over into boxing were the money is FAR GREATER!! I mean at world level anyway. They know they cant, but on the flipside most boxers with a fully functioning brain would realise that they will get taken down and choked out or submitted with an arm bar or similar. A boxer on the ground is useless. Toney if he continues with this idea of going into MMA will be quickly humiliated unless there's some dodgy deals going on to keep it on their feet striking. Toney isn't even a noted puncher - especially at heavyweight.

The real and only reason Toney or any boxer goes over to MMA is because they want money and even though it pays less they foolishly think they can do well. They also despite what they say realise their best days as boxer are over. Who has done well so far?? Mercer got Tim Syliva out with one punch...but he also got choked out by a street fighter in his first go! I would like to see Toney do well if he does cross over but I really cant see it. Just like if any MMA came over to boxing they'd not even get past journeyman stage. In a boxing ring ALL MMA guys would be bums or C level at the very best. This is truly the classic apples vs oranges senario.

    I love these threads...

For starters, Toney is not, and never was a one punch KO artist. I'm not sure why anybody distorts the facts and somehow imagines Toney with the power of Lennox or even Ray Mercer for that matter.

Suppose he lands one or two on Lesnar, I don't see Lesnar going anywhere. It's not as though Brock has a china chin.

Toney out in less than one round.
