Honestly... this is the worst style match up for Benn possible. Someone who can stay in the pocket and counter every thing he throws. I'm a big fan of both and being from the UK, I love Benn, but Toney would have stopped him around 6-9 I think.
I have to disagree. Imperial1 made a good comparison. A come forward puncher is tailor made for Toney and Benn would get tagged with a right hand counter everytime he threw a right hook.
Thank you brotha ..I also think it be a war as Benn would let his emotions get to him .Toney waould do his normal disrespect .You know Benn would have tried to have seperated Toney's head from his body and James would love that ..I see these 2 in a phone booth for however long it lasted ..Only reason I personally lean towards Toney was due to his defense and counter punching ..Either way a technial brawl!
Bad style match up for Benn. For all the power he had it would not be enough to stop Toney and there is no way Benn is going to win a decision. Toney eats fighters alive who come at him, it's the boxers and counter punchers like Jones jr, Griffin and Nunn that gave him the most problems. Eubank would have a much better chance of beating Toney, Benn just doesn't have the style to beat Toney.
