    Tough call. :think

McDonnell has made great inroads in the last few years but still isn't quite a polished product.

Hall will bring the fight to him and is as hungry as they come.

It sounds like there is some bad blood between them.

    This should be good!!!

    McDonnell UD, but not easy.

Not that surprising in the SMW division. Froch, Ward, Bute, Kessler,... the list goes on and on

Was a weird interview that, but Maloney AND Brooks are spot on Jeffries really is living on borrowed time.

WTF at Nelson comparing Hall to Vitali Klitschko? o_O

British, Commonwealth AND European titles on the line.

The only greater kitty to be fought for on those isles short of a world title would be Froch's wife.

Hall comes out to some rap song in a very sparkly blue robe.

Are there diamonds on there? :blood

I guess British title defenses pay well.

Yeah, I had a feeling Boxrec was wrong calling McDonnell 5'8".

He and Hall aren't quite the same height. 5'9" does seem more correct.

    Round 1

Hall jabs up high, and throws a right hand past McDonnell's own quick jab. Nice slightly hooking jab lands for McDonnell. A more textbook hook now. McDonnell is circling close and throwing combos. Hook-2. Hall is almost exclusively working the jab. Now a downward right hand to the stomach by Hall as he falls in. McDonnell hops outside and throws a long jab while taking a right hand. Nice combo coming forward by McDonnell, a high hook to get inside and then an upper-hook to the chest while leaning left once there. Hall times him with another really good right hand, slightly buzzing him. McDonnell and Hall jab at the same time and clamp together as they each carry forward. McDonnell lands a right hand, turns Hall and hooks him in the face. Lots of movement from McDonnell, flitting around in semi-circles and popping his jab. Hall is watching and lining up his own jab, not terribly inaccurate with it but landing a fair bit less. Good uppercut by Hall.

    Wretched task, scoring this!

10-9 McDonnell for work in gross, but Hall hurt him a little those few times.

Mcdonnell a bit busier in the first but Hall landed more significant memorable punches.

    Round 2

Overhand right by McDonnell falls short. Hall thrusts up his jab and turns on his heel to watch McDonnell. Big combo by McDonnell coming in before darting back outside to straighten up tall. Body shot by Hall. High jabs by Hall, and a right hand/left hook combo as he strafes into McDonnell's path to head him off. McDonnell is still moving a lot, bending and snapping his knees and keeping his hands up by his face. Hall snipes with his jab. McDonnell has slowed his offense. McDonnell just circles, changing directions at the ropes and getting caught with a right hand. Hall pressures and tries to time jabs and big far-reaching rights. McDonnell is shied back with the Hall jab. Hook-2 by McDonnell off the backfoot, hitting glove. Tentative jabs out by McDonnell, using a lot of energy moving around on the outside.

    10-9 Hall
