While an undefeated Kell moving up to middle to challenge Golovkin probably takes the top spot, this still has to be one of the most idiotic moves a star boxer has made in the last 20 years. Teo is on the verge of taking his brand to the next level, and he has a plethora of fights available to him against guys his size. Theres davis, shakur, haney, garcia, rolly, kambosos rematch, ect. All guys around his size in very winnable fights that would be big events and help Teo go from star to superstar. But hes going to move up again, to face a large welterweight who himself is likely on the verge of moving to 154, and to top it off hes not just big, hes also one of the best fighters in the sport, in a fight he doesnt have a realistic path to victory in. This is horrible management by team Teo and I have to admit Im a bit puzzled as to the logic behind it. Only way this makes sense to me is if Teo has decided to basically sell out and hes being offered a ton of money to make that fight to help build Boots's brand. Otherwise I genuinely dont get it.
