3 wins 1 draw pro record actor from Euphoria and was in a movie with sly Stallone. Fights under Jake Paul. Anyone familiar with this guy? Turns 20 in July. He probably reads this site. It's the most popular boxing site on the net by far.

Oh then maybe we finally have a chance to get proper acting for boxing scenes. I can't watch any boxing movies becaueee the fight scenes always look ridiculous, and the camera work, too.

The Rocky's were good though. At least they were actual fights.

There were so many scenes in those movies that broke immersion for me. In creed, too. Just because there was contact doesn't make it realistic for me.

In my opinion those directors focus on telling a story when showing the fight. And they are all too eager to neglect realism when they think it benefits the emotional arc.

Maybe asian directors could do a better job - they seem to be the real experts on how to make fight scenes look gritty and realistic.

    Sorry for sidetracking this thread

James Toney played Joe Frazier during the FOTC in the Ali movie starring Will Smith. Just giving an example of how to attempt to do it right.

there’s a pretty cool fight scene between Mike Tyson and Donnie Yen in one of the IP Man movies. Fun fact is that Tyson accidentally broke Yen’s hand during the filming when he forgot to pull the steam off a punch that in the choreograph Yen is supposed to block.

there’s also Wlad vs Lewis in an Oceans movie, going on in the background. I assume there was no choreograph and that the two of them just started sparring when action was called.
