Well, I don't know that it had anything to do with doomsday. Nobody in their right mind was paying any genuine attention to that.

Christmas and New Years, well, time for celebration and whatnot. You should be hyping up your HW title fight. Get together with family and friends, and watch a night of fights. I feel they have done this in the past.

I feel, the last card of the year should be a real blockbuster, and they just didn't do that this year. Big fans of the sport are looking forward to it, but really, it is void of marquee names, and any real promotion that I am aware of. Then again, I do try to separate myself from the business, promotion, and marketing side of the sport, because I feel it's really not worth focusing on. My job as a fight fan is to be excited to watch and talk about the actual fights, not the numbers and financial well being, or whatever, of the company. It actually annoys the **** out of me when numbers/organizations are discussed more than the actual fights.

    Sorry for rambling.

Cain will try to utilise his wrestling more here but hes too straight up and JDS will catch him at some point.

I hope he does. Surely no one wants to see Black Fedor kill himself to make 205?!?

Could you imagine Dion Staring actually knocking out Cormier? What a tragedy that would be.

Come on, it's not like it's actually going to happen. We are just playing make believe.

Thanks for bringing me back to Earth. I was walking round the house in a depressed haze the last few minutes.

He must eat an incredible amount to stay soft. We know he trains hard, his engine suggests as much and all the footage and reports back that up. However, he admits he loves food and mexican food at that!

I'd love to see him at 205, considering how he manhandles big guys. Like Fedor, he is a 205 fighter but old school in that he doesnt give a ****. 205 doesn't necessarily mean easier. They are smaller, weaker but faster and more technical.

    Imagine Cain vs Jones.

In shape he'd likely be 220 or so.

Can he cut 20 odd lbs at this stage of his life considering he has supposedly lasting damage from his struggled at the Olympics?

I wouldn't like to see it. I'll wait until Jones is 240lbs to see that fight ;)

Cormier lifting Barnett up and ragdolling him onto the top of his head like it was nothing was truly ****ing scary. I'd be curious to the point of genuine fear of what he could do to someone at 205.

But would he be as strong, and would he have the same gas tank? Also, he'd lose the speed advantage he has on most of the heavys. As he's still developing, transitioning a lot of his training time to changing his body completely would give him less time to round his skills, which, as we've seen in the past few years, seem to get better and better with each fight.

Him dominating Josh as he did makes me want to see him against the rest of the HW division. No reason for him to move down.

Oh, you are talking about Cormier, I thought you meant Cain. I was thinking you should have said Brown Fedor but I agree Cormier is also Black Fedor.

Cormier says if Cain is champ, he'll fight Jones so I don't think its as life threatening as we believe. He has also said in the past that whatever Coker wants him to do then he'll do.

Cormier and Cain are terminators who I love to watch but I think both could make 205 and cut 15 pounds easy.

I don't blame fighters for not wanting to cut. I'm anti cutting so I'd much rather see terminators then fighters struggle to make weight.
