Yeah, regardless of what Hopkins said, Pascal was hurting him and I think that was pretty clear. Hes just so mentally strong he hung in there pretty good, but now put a guy who is quicker and bigger than Pascal against him and I think Hopkins gets stopped.
Yeah, and i don't want to see that. I'll tell you what though, that fight gets signed and you just watch me speculate and get excited! Also, I don't think Wlad would fight Hopkins, my mate saw him on the tv the other week saying that he wants no part of the likes of Roy Jones etc, because he doesn't think he'd benefit from beating a legend at the complete arse end of his career, and that he has too much respect for him, and also that he wants to be remembered like him one day. Now offer that fight to Haye and no doubt he accepts it and starts hyping it up ridiculously caliming he's fighting the greatest fighter of all time etc.
I dont know. I dont think Haye gains anything from beating a middleweight. I think its a bad fight, but Golden Boy promotes both so they might push him (Haye) into it.
I think the second half of the fight has coloured your judgement a bit PP. If Pascal can land big counters the so can Haye, BHOP went down legitimately tht second time from a relatively average punching light heavy. Haye is a big punching heavyweight, massive difference.
Fair point, I'm dreaming of Hopkins beating Haye but you're right Haye may well spark Hopkins at this stage, and I'd be :| But never write Hopkins off, I'd just love to see Hopkins pull off a coup like this and I'd be:happy:rasta:happy As a fan I'd just like to see him reach to sky I suppose with the chance he could well pull it off
If Haye took that fight i personally seriously doubt it would be because he'd be pushed into it, low risk fight and a lot of money for him once they hype the **** out of it, come on this is David Haye, of course he'd do that.
Pascal has underrated power but the second kd was clean. Imagine Haye rabbit punching or landing flush on Hopkins, Bhop would be OUT. Hopefully he can retire with his health but it looks like he'll fight on sadly.
I agree. It would be a mismatch. I hope Haye's people aren't reading this thread, because its an easy pay day for them, and Hopkins if he was offered a large enough purse might be stupid enough to take the fight. The light heavyweight division lacks talent right now.
