McGuinness is landing short hooks on the inside while grabbing at Reyes with his other arm. Reyes is putting the jab up and driving through with hard rights up high. Body shots by Reyes. McGuinness smothers Reyes by pressing his long target of a body against him and taps short woodpecker jabs against him. Reyes muscles him to the ropes and throws 1-2-3 combos as McGuinness jabs into his chin to try and get free. Lead right by McGuinness, dodged. Reyes lands his own lead right and rocks McGuinness. Quintuple jab by McGuinness, alternating high and low, all of them blocked. McGuinness tries for a big right hand but eats a counter one of Reyes' instead.

Anyone think McGuinness could be KTFO late if Carlos doesn't gas? :think

It's probably the visitor's only way of taking his zero, unless he bags a few more clear rounds.

 

This is sort of like how I always envisioned Miguel Cotto vs. Paul Williams at welterweight.

McGuinness is getting pushed back against the ropes. Reyes chops with both arms over the top and stabs out straight into that long body. McGuinness is trying to swallow him up between his folded arms. McGuinness begins to turn the tables with his own clubbing shots on the inside, keeping his arms above Reyes' bent and lowered head. They wrestle a bit and McGuinness blasts Reyes with three right hands out of a clinch, pushing him to the ropes. Left hooks and short underhand rights to the body by McGuinness. Reyes fights his way out to the center of the ring and gets ripped with three more left hooks to the body while headhunting. DOWN!! He beats the count.
